Anyone tried methods to conceive a girl and it actually helped make it happen?

I know there are certain things that are suppose to be able to help conceive a girl and I wondered if anyone had luck achieving this when they tried the one thing that actually makes sense. The thing about having sex a few days before ovulation and then stop until ovulation has passed since the girl spermies live longer than the male spermies.
My aunt used the Shettles method for 3 of her kids, my sister used it to try for a girl, & so did my cousin. They all got what they wanted.
I’m not saying it’s an exact science & I wouldn’t put any money on what the gender turns out to be but I know it worked for them & I’m going to give it a shot in a couple of years to try for a girl.
What sex the baby is, is up to God.. Nothing you do will give you girl or boy.
I tried for a girl and it happened. Don’t know if it’s because he makes girls or if this helped. I had sex 5 days before ovulating, 3 days before ovulating, and 1 days before ovulating and another time the day I ovulated. They say the one that’s in control is the sex you’ll have, so I made sure to be on top. I know they say you can’t conceive well this way but I did conceive this way with all my pregnancies. I wouldn’t take a chance at stopping 5 days before ovulating in case it didn’t catch. I then went on my back in the bed and lifted my bum and legs for 20 minutes to make sure the semen goes where it’s supposed to. I know a lot of detail, but it worked for me. I had sex only the day I ovulated with my son and he came out a boy. Either way, both sexes are amazing.
I do know folks who have tried it, and they all ended up with the opposite gender they were hoping for. I think its just random.
No offense to Cindy, but she’s uninformed. Sexual posistions do not determine the sex of the baby.
I haven’t heard of the method you mention in your question. But I did find a website that gives information with a supposed 75%-90% success rate.

those are just (bogus) theories. there are two popular theories about gender selection and they say the exact OPPOSITE of each other.
let me tell you I had sex 5 days before ovulation (and I know exactly when I ovulated). Took me 10 months to get pregnant with my first son and I thought it would be a cold day in hell before I got pregnant from just one time 5 days before ovulation, but I did and it was another boy.
It’s 50/50. Nothing much you can do to out-smart mother nature. You get what you get.
This may sound funny, but there is a Chinese calendar out there that is supposed to determine the sex of the baby based on the age of the month and the month of conception (if I remember correctly). We wanted a boy, but when I read the calendar at the beginning of my pregnancy, it said I was going to have a girl – and I did… same thing happened with my colleague – the calendar predicted a boy and she had a boy!
