  4. ~soon to be mommy~ says:

25 years old with my first and only so far. im 26 now. it took me 2 months to get pregnant without even trying! and yes, i wish i could or would have tried earlier for a baby but then again this is obviously the right time and now im ready!

  5. Mummy dreamer says:

i was 20 when i fell pregnant with my son, and we had been trying for only 2 or 3 months, and i was 22 when i fell pregnant with my daughter and we were trying for only 3 months. well, i just want to say that having a 3yr old and an 18 month old is pretty tough. but its still great.

  6. kathy s says:

  7. [Christina] 13weeks with baby #1 says:

i’m 18, and pregnant with my first.
it was not planned. but not prevented.

it took about 3 or 4 months of just about everyday sex, and then i ended up pregnant.

  8. Mommy_Of 2 says:

21- Baby Girl, 24- Baby Boy, 25- don’t know yet! I wouldn’t have waited my Babies were everything I ever wanted!!!

  9. Felix T. Cat says:

1st baby I was 32 and we tried about a year. No I wouldn’t have started earlier.

  10. EH-Lil girl due 29/08/08 says:

I was 21 when i conceived, we had been ttc for 7 months. In the end i think the timing was perfect.

  11. M&P'sMOM says:

first pregnancy- conceived just shy of 22, tried for about 2 months, we would not have waited or tried sooner, was planned just as it happened

second pregnancy- conceived at 24, tried for 4 months, was the perfect timing really, the children are just over 2 years apart and it works out really well.

  12. nanook says:

    21- Got married
22- First pregnancy, it ended at 9 weeks (Ectopic).
23- Second pregnancy- it ended at 7 weeks.
23- Third pregnancy- my dear daughter resulted.
25- Fourth pregnancy- my dear son was born.
27- Fifth pregnancy- early m/c or chemical pregnancy.
28-Sixth pregnancy- I am now 6 weeks and my fingers are crossed!

The first was unplanned but welcome, ttc the second for nine months, the third for three months, the fourth was a surprise but again welcome, the fifth we got lucky the first month trying, and the sixth took us a very long year to conceive.

I would not change a thing. I love my family and am thankful for them everyday.

  13. Ask a stupid question... says:

    I got married at 18

Conceived my first some 9 months later (By Choice!!!) and concieved as soon as I tried.

Conceived my second son at 21 (By Choice again) and also concieved immediately.

I’m thrilled to have had my kids at the ages I did. When my youngest graduates from HS I’ll only be 40!!! Yay!!!

  14. amanda says:

    I was 20 when I conceived.
The pregnancy wasn’t planned, but it wasn’t prevented either
We had been sexually active 2.5 months before I got pregnant.
I would have wanted to be more stable…but I would not change anything about it now.

  15. debbie says:

I’m 22, been married for 2 years, and we’re 5 weeks pregnant with our first. We’ve been "letting nature take its course" (neither trying nor preventing) for the past year, after a year of using the withdrawal method. So it took 13 months, and the timing is God’s timing. Both of us and all our family is very happy and excited, and while it wouldn’t have been bad to have gotten pregnant sooner, now just seems like a wonderful time.

  16. konna_louie says:

I was 18 when I conceived my oldest, we tried for about two months (coming off of birth control.)

I was 22 when we conceived my second, we tried for nearly nine months and had a miscarriage in between.

I was 24 with my third (I’m 37 weeks 5 days now!) and it only took us about a month and a half of trying.

But when I say trying, I mean sex pretty much every other day.

I think I had my kids at the perfect age. Yes, my husband and I were young, but we are very stable, both in our marriage and in our life, and we were ready.

  17. samantha c says:

I was 23 when I conceived with my first child, it took about two years, then it only took one month later to conceive my second child. But in 2002 my husband and i split and i remarried a great guy and we conceived my third child at the age of 30, and then about two years later i conceived my fourth child at the age of 32. No i wouldn’t have waited to start having children, matter of fact we want to have one more child.

  18. smsm says:

18 with our first, not planned. 21 with our second kinda planned about 3 months or so. 23 with our third not planned. I would have waited but I love my kids and I love having a family, my father said well now that you have one you should just get it all done and over with now lol. I just wish that I could have done more in my younger years to have been able to be more successful in life now.

  19. marriedmomof2 says:

I got preg with my daughter at 17 and never ever regreted it she wasnt planned but was a blessing. my son whom im preg with now i was 21 he will be my last i got my girl n boy

  20. mommahurley says:

    1st – 23yrs. took 8 months.. (conceived on honeymoon)
2nd – 25yrs. took 5 months after miscarriage (conceived Christmas Eve)
3rd – 27yrs. took 3 months after miscarriage (conceived on wedding anniversary)
4th – 29yrs. took 4 months after miscarriage (can’ figure him out..)
We never really planned on ours, we knew we wanted to have children so we just never tried to prevent it and let nature take it’s course!
As far as the choice, I’d keep mine just the way it is!

  21. secretsoftruth08 says:

I got pregnnant with my first at 17(had her 2 and a half weeks after turning 18…and was married)Perfect timing for us,got pregnant first week we tried.

Got pregnant at 20 unplanned and lost it at 7 weeks

Got pregnant at 20 (6 weeks after my miscarriage) with my son with the help of timing my ovulation with my doctor.First try.

Got pregnant at 21 with what looks like twins(6 weeks now) First week of trying again…but never expected it to be twins lol.

This will be it for us. Although I am young it is exactly as we wanted it. We’ve been together 6 yrs, married 4 in August and have always said we wanted them young. We do own our home and all of that, otherwise we wouldnt have had more yet.

  22. shortycakez46 says:

I just turned 19 a month before i conceived and we weren’t trying, but did nothing to prevent it* If i could have waited I would have but all and all my baby is a blessing ..

  23. his_lil_patriot says:

I was 18 with my first; it took 4 months to conceive *my husband was getting ready to deploy to Iraq, so we felt like we HAD to have a baby* I was 20 with the second, and she took about four months to conceive. The last one, I was 22, and he was definately a surprise. One of those one-shot deals!

I wouldn’t trade my babies for the world. I’m glad I had them while me and their father are young enough to romp and play with them. I certainly haven’t given up my dreams; I’m attending college online and plan to work once the youngest is in school full time. So, given the chance, I’d do it all over again!

  24. Luann says:

I was 26 with the first, 28 with the second. The first baby took about a month to conceive. The second baby took about 4 months. We’re lucky, and we’re very thankful that we don’t have fertility issues.

I think we hit the timing just right. By the time you’re in your late 20s you have at least something that resembles a career and a little stability (you hope). We were able to buy a home, have a dependable vehicle, and our parents are at the age where they don’t mind taking a little time out of their own busy schedules to do a little babysitting. It was the ideal time for us, but that ideal time is different for everyone. I have friends who got married and had kids right out of high school and they are getting divorced and it’s hard. I think it’s better to make sure you have some stability and maturity before you have children.

  25. **Cindy V, pregnant with no 3!** says:

    I was 19, 22 and 25 when I conceived….
my first wasn’t planned, the second took 4mths, and this one wasn’t planned either…I fell pregnant 5wks after having my IUD out.
I’m really happy about the age gaps. (2.7yrs and 3.5yrs)

  26. Ruth G says:

With my daughter I was 21 when I conceived and it was when me and my husband where still in a relationship, so I don’t know how long it took to conceive.

With my son, I had the IUD for about a year and a half when we decided to try for #2 and I had the IUD taken out in April, had a period in May and by June a positive pregnancy test!!

Oh and I was 24 when I conceived with my son!!

  27. sweetness10301978 says:

first off, none of my pregnancies were planned. i was 21 w/ my 1st baby and 22 when i had her. i was 25 w/my 2nd baby and was 26 when i had her. i was 28 w/ my last baby and 29 when i had her just 3 months ago. we didn’t try at all, it just happened. we would have waited longer with our 1st daughter, but only because we were married for only 4 months when we found out i was pregnant.
