Taking the last 7 placebo pills doesn’t make a difference in the effectiveness of the pill because they don’t contain anything. They are simply reminder pills so that you know when to start your next pack. That’s all.

Of course you can. No protection is 100% effective. Most people dont even bother taking their sugar pills because its just a reminder xx
    Just be careful

Yeah. There is always a chance you can get pregnant. Even if you never miss a single pill. Since,BC is of course not a 100% guarantee.

  4. Pandora says:

Yes you can. NEVER skip a day! I know this because I’m now pregnant for missing them.

  5. Monica says:

This is really a simple question. ANYTIME you have SEX there is ALWAYS the risk of pregnancy. . if your period is more than 1 wk late than take a pregnancy test.

  6. *Laura* says:

No. It’s only a placebo. I often didn’t take the sugar pills. I ended up pregnant one time on birth control, but had a crazy hectic work schedule and didn’t remember to take my pills at the same time. IT WILL NOT MAKE IT MORE LIKELY FOR YOU GET PREGNANT IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THE PLACEBO. I asked my dr about this when I ended up pregnant on the pill.

I don’t think that there is any harm in just skipping those pills — that’s what I do. I don’t see any point in taking reminder pills when I know how to count days and know when I am supposed to start a new pack. As far as I know, there isn’t anything in my reminder pills. I think some birth control pills (at least in the old days) had iron tablets to help replace your iron levels during your period week. But mine don’t have that, so I don’t take them.

No you cannot..its just sugar pills it just gets you into the habbit of taking them everyday..
