It’s rare that abortion causes infertility, so yes you can get pregnant again. I suggest you see your GYN or a fertility specialist and see why your are not conceiving. It could also be that your partner is the one who is infertile.
As long as you had the abortion at a reputable place…. then No – it would not effect your getting pregnant. Funny thing… your body knows when you are trying to get pregnant… the more you think about it… the less likely it will happen. Take a break from trying and just relax and watch…. you will be pregnant in no time.
We tried for 2 yrs and nothing. We decided to take a break from trying and the next month we conceived!

I seen it somewhere on yahoo that someone had this done last Febuary 2009 and they are preg now and near due so its possible. Im sure it will happen but if it doesnt happen it a very long time or you are really worried in between see a doctor.
Some take long to concieve then other’s. The first time maybe it was just out of luck. Keep trying and I know you can definitly have a baby:) Good Luck.
You can, but if you’ve been having problems with getting pregnant again, you should see a doctor. Abortions can be dangerous procedures (despite what some people say), and can cause health complications later on.

I thought the same thing. I had an abortion in Feb of 2009, and in August of 2009 found out i was pregnant again with my son due in April this year. I too thought i couldnt get pregnant again but there are only certain times you can get pregnant. it took me 6 months to get pregnant again. just give it time and it will happen. be patient and good luck to you!!

I’m confused when it comes to this as well I had an abortion almost 3 years ago and after I got it done I was on birth control for a year and a half then stopped to try getting pregnant after finishing college and it being a more suitable time. Ever since I quit my birth control I haven’t gotten pregnant but I’m hoping having a talk with my doctor will give me some answers but this is very stressfull!!!
