Can you get pregnant in the first month of taking birth control pills and having unprotected sex? Also for me I had unprotected sex within the first week and 2nd week? Just curious I’ve read online a lot and it seems the chances are slim so I’m not to worried. But has anyone else gotten pregnant within the first month or couple weeks? Thanks.

Birth Control works differntly for differnt indivduals. It is likely that you get pregnant in the first month. You are suppose to wait at lest a month when taking birth control before having sex.
I have a friend that was pregnant while she was on the pill even after more than a few months and your doctors will tell you to wait a certain amount of time till you have sex and even then he will tell you to use a back-up birth control.. the reason why you should wait a while after getting on any birth control is so that your system absorbs the new medication…
Good Luck
I was on birth control for over a year and still got pregnant. They warn you not to have unprotected sex while just starting out and if you do they tell you to use a back up plan.
Birth control takes at least a week to become effective. All birth control will tell you to use a back up method for the first week. So yes, you could get pregnant because you had sex without a condom during the first week.
Birth control is also not 100% effective so it’s always possible to get pregnant even when taking it correctly.
Also, you really need to read the instructions – as the first person said – some birth control can even take a month to become effective. It really depends on the specific pill/patch/etc.
