Can you tell the difference between someone who is newly pregnant or just chubby?

Im 18 weeks and have only started showing a bump. I was always thin before pregnancy and everyone is telling me that i finally look pregnant but most of the time i just think i look like i ate too much lol.
Anyway i was wondering, will strangers be able to tell that i am pregnant or will most just reckon that i have a bit of a gut??
by the way, my stomach is rock hard and the bump starts right under my breasts.
I didn’t start showing till 4 weeks ago. And I am 34 and 1/2 weeks along. So everybody and all is different. Maybe people who see you everyday can tell if you have a glowing face. (my father was able to tell when he first saw me when I was pregnant with my first one).
i am 22 weeks… and i still dont look pregnant..
people dont even know i am and one time i was at walmart looking at a crib and this lady was like i dont know if your planning on getting pregnant hun but your too young and i would wait i was like ma’am i am 5 months pregnant… she was really nice after that but its not noticable…
hang in there hun you dont want a big belly… that makes for a harder time getting rid of it
Strangers won’t be able to tell you’re pregnant for a while…
I had a little bump around 20 weeks but strangers didnt’ start noticing the belly until I was 27 weeks.
At 18 weeks, I seriously doubt that anyone other than your friends can tell you’re pregnant.
I had that same issue when I was pregnant with my son. I looked bloated to strangers for awhile. I didn’t really start to show until 6 or 7 months.

I’m a thin woman too and I thought the same thing! I didn’t start actually looking pregnant until close to six months with our first, otherwise it just looked like I ate too much or was constipated or something.
I’m not sure what strangers will think – but I like it imagine they know you’re pregnant rather than that you just ate too much!
I always wait until it’s a clear cut baby bump before I say anything,lol most times the bump is firmer and only that part is big, but some women do gain weight(fat) just in the stomach and do look pregnant, I hate to offend people
Answer: Ask men if they think you’re fat. If they say no, you’re chubby. If they say "well, you’re pregnant… so…?" then you’re just pregnant.
I think at this time (I’m 17 weeks), everyne just thinks we are a little chubby! But if you have thin arms, legs, etc. and it’s just your stomach that’s big, people will probably suspect you are pregnant. I sometimes touch my stomach or rub it if I can tell people aren’t sure.
Yes a chubby persons stomach is flatter and lower but a baby bump is rounded.
at that stage no one could tell i was pregnant my husband said i just look like i gained a few lbs and just looked chubby. once i turned 23 weeks well just since last week i finally hardened up and have a baby bump so i look pregnnat now
Honestly, no one noticed that I was. I looked like I just had a pouch around then, my tummy was rounded but it was only in a certain spot just above my waist line. so it may take a couple more weeks.
