I just had my period on the 16th and it lasted till the 20th which was yesterday. When is the best to start trying to conceive . I took an ovulation test this morning and nothing yet. Any good advice would help.

I’ve been trying for over a year.

How to prep my body to conceive?

I finally got my husband to commit to a time frame, 6-8 months from now so long as either all of the credit card is paid, and half the car (or visa versa) AND I have to be working from home.

My question is how can I prep my body to conceive as quickly as possible and so I can have a healthy pregnancy?
I don’t take BC so I don’t have to worry about that, I have a glass of OJ every day, drink at least 64 OZ of water a day and take a woman’s muti vitamin. I do want to try to lose 10 lbs, but I don’t think it’s really necessary to do so.( I’m 5 ft 1/2 in and weight 130 Lbs).
Anything else I should be doing to help my body be at it’s healthiest and most fertile come January? I already track my periods and fertile times as well.
I already don’t some and only drink a few times a month. I plan on stopping that as the time gets closer. As for caffine I have 1 drink (usually a Pepsi) a day, just to wake me up and get me through work.
I mean I dont smoke

Today is my 20th day and I started ovulating on my 16th day as per my scan reports.Since two days I am getting solid white discharge from my uterus.I am also travelling a lot and climbing stairs often.Will it affect conception.I want to conceive.Can I travel a lot during these days(while ovulating).It will not affect conception.Right?Plz tell me.Is getting white discharge even today a good symptom to get pregnant.

this is a photo i took of a squirrel today while i was walking around outside. i had a half day at school, which really helped when i wanted to go out and take photographs. i had more time to do it and earlier. i was glad because i had a chance to photograph this sweet little squirrel. this squirrel i believe was pregnant. its spring, so its possible. she was a little over weight looking and she didn’t move as swiftly as other squirrels. when she leaped onto a step of a porch, she had to take time to pull her backside up. i love seeing chubby squirrels, and to see a pregnant one is simply special. this squirrel was also really sweet. she would let me come up to her longer and closer than any squirrel i have photographed. i was literally about 10 inches from her. if not, barely a foot. best of luck to this squirrel and her cuddly children.

Entela was a student of mine at the time this was taken. Dr. Roberta Bondar, Canada’s first female astronaut and a highly accomplished photographer herself, came to visit our school. The students (all from countries other than Canada, at the school to learn English) didn’t know who she was before she came, but after she gave her presentation, they were falling all over each other to be photographed with her.

Someone decided that she should be photographed with Entela, then eight or so months pregnant, so that Entela’s son could have the picture someday. Dr. Bondar was more than happy to oblige. The pose was her idea.

Since her spaceflight in 1993, she has become highly skilled in landscape photography because of her desire to document the natural beauty of our planet. It was a thrill to meet her.

One of the many pictures from my first maternity shoot, actually my first portrait shoot period. A couple of good friends asked me if I could take some maternity shots for them, and I agreed. It was a bit scary considering I never shot any "studio" like pictures.

I purchased a 3 piece lighting kit by Smith Victor and a black backdrop. I took the shots and played with them on PS. I then used all these pictures to publish a 11.5 x 15 inch magazine style book and presented it as a gift for her baby shower.

I really enjoyed portrait work, and was actually surprised at the way some of the shots turned out… c.c is welcome!

I need someone to want me…

Bryndelyn was dropped off at the pound to die after her owners found out they were pregnant. She’s a wonderfully beautiful girl with a happy demeanor. Although scared, timid, and shy right now, she is starting to come out of her shell. She’s at a foster home in Colorado Springs, CO after having been rescued from a shelter in Burns Flat, Oklahoma. This all American mutt needs to be loved and treasured, without fear of returning unwanted to the doggy jail and death row.

If you have any ideas how to help me spread the word to find her a home, please let me know. Thank you.

What is a healthy weight to be at when trying to conceive and can you lose weight while trying to conceive?

I am 5′8" and weigh 197 lbs. My husband and I are trying to conceive. I want to put it off so that I can get to a healthier weight. What is an okay weight to be at when getting pregnant?

this is a photo i took of a squirrel today while i was walking around outside. i had a half day at school, which really helped when i wanted to go out and take photographs. i had more time to do it and earlier. i was glad because i had a chance to photograph this sweet little squirrel. this squirrel i believe was pregnant. its spring, so its possible. she was a little over weight looking and she didn’t move as swiftly as other squirrels. when she leaped onto a step of a porch, she had to take time to pull her backside up. i love seeing chubby squirrels, and to see a pregnant one is simply special. this squirrel was also really sweet. she would let me come up to her longer and closer than any squirrel i have photographed. i was literally about 10 inches from her. if not, barely a foot. best of luck to this squirrel and her cuddly children.
*aw, i was in pure joy when i saw her lying here from the sidewalk. i all i knew to do, was to simply come over to her and photograph her. this photograph came before the ones with her standing on the fence. you can see those in my photostream.*

James Pierce, president and founder of the Kane Humane Project, sits with Maggie in the lobby of Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT, waiting to see the vet.

Maggie was found Christmas Eve 2009, pregnant and abandoned on the side of an AZ highway, 20 miles in either direction from any town. A truck driver picked her up, and took her home to UT. Although good hearted, Maggie’s rescuer (who named her "Maggie") was not equipped to care for a pregnant dog, so Kane Humane convinced him to turn her over to them.

Kane Humane teamed up with the veterinary staff of Best Friends to get the medical care she needed. Shortly after this photo was taken, Maggie was diagnosed with pyometra, a uterine infection, and Dr. Mike at Best Friends performed surgery on Dec. 26, 2009.

After surgery, she went to a foster home in Cedar City, UT.
Here are some pics of Maggie in her new foster home which she shares with 2 other pitbulls and 5 cats.

Update on "Maggie". Maggie, the pregnant pit found in the desert by a trucker, is going through surgery right now. We took her to the clinic and she has Pyometra, a life threatening condition. She is also pregnant but the vet said the puppies most likely wouldn’t be viable because of the pyometra. Hopefully, Maggie will be okay.

Maggi is okay! Maggie went through her surgery just fine. Thanks Dr. Mike. We have also found a safe and warm foster for her; thanks Pat for sending out the message, and thanks to all of those that responded so quickly to our plea.

Miss Maggie is in her Foster home in Cedar City! We brought her there on Monday to meet her new "family". More pictures to follow.

December 30, 2009 at 2:49pm – Kane Humane Project, Inc. Maggie is settling in at her new foster home. She isn’t housetrained but her foster Mom is up to the task of training her. Seems Maggie won’t go outside unless someone goes with her. Afraid she’ll be left outside maybe?

I’m shooting more and more pregnant women, it seems.
These are Raffaella and Alice.

How can women have periods yet unable to conceive?

My great aunt had her period (before menopause of course), and she tried to conceive, but she was unable to have kids but her husband had 3 kids before her though, so we don’t think it was him? How is this so?
