Ann Dunham was just an unwed teenager when she got pregnant.
She made the decision to not have an abortion and instead, she gave birth to Barack Obama in 1961
Was it a good decision on her part to get pregnant when she was unwed and just a teenager?
And more importantly, wasn’t Bristol Palin just following the example set by Obama’s mother??

Reproduction in 2008 involved many choices, all of which are equally valid and legal. Not so in 1961. 1961 was a very different time than 2008. Abortion wasn’t legal or safe, for one thing.
Every woman has to decide for herself what to do. Freedom of Choice means that we should accept whatever informed decision a woman makes. It’s none of our business in either case.
If Bristol’s child becomes a great President, then you have a point, but all signs are pointing to him being only a little more intelligent than the likes of Palin, Bush, Reagan, and other typical Republicans.

Palin was not ‘following’ anyone’s example. She was doing what teenagers do – have sex – and she came from a family that only taught abstinence and got pregnant. It’s pretty predictable. Further, women have been having children out of wedlock for generations…no one is ‘following’ anyone. It’s human nature. You must be really desperate with this nonsense.
