Hi everyone,
I heard on a radio that drinking wine (in moderation of course) helps to get pregnant. I goggled it and actually found some articles and stories saying the same thing. So if anyone has an opinion on this matter or experience to share I would appreciate. I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 months now and stopped having any alcohol at all once we started trying (I didn’t drink much, just sometimes to relax and wind down). And if anyone has any other technics
that help to get pregnant share them:), I will be very grateful.

If you’re going to do the wine thing, which I am not going to confirm or deny its authenticity as I have not researched it, make sure you have a designated driver unless you are at home. FAE and FAS take prolonged use during pregnancy. Really, there are few defects that can occur in the normally very few first weeks of conception, such as spina bifida. And FAE/FAS is usually exposure during the later trimesters. Good luck with conceiving. Yoga, meditation, and other stress reducers don’t work for everyone. Every time I tried to do yoga it just gave me a chance to think about my losses. Every time I tried to meditate it gave me a chance to think about how hard its been. But having a glass or 2 of wine with my husband or friends, made me happy, relaxed, and eager to get to baby dancing.
it might help just because it helps you relax and be less stressed…but i don’t think it has any other benefit directly related to fertility, you can ask a fertility specialist online for free for an opinion, try fertilityties.com
good luck!
Sure it might help you get pregnant, but it’s a sure way to ensure your baby has FAE at the very least, and perhaps even FAS. Drinking and pregnancy, or trying to get pregnant DO NOT MIX!
Why not try yoga, meditation, prayer? They’ll relax you too, without the dangers!
It might hellp you get more in the mood — or not care so much about having to do it AGAIN because you are ovulating today … but I’m not aware of any direct effects on fertility.
(And ignore the poster who said it would result in a baby with FAS/FAE. Drinking before conception would have NO effects on the baby’s health — and even after conception it would take far more than a glass of wine to cause FAS/FAE. Those are the result of continued drinking to excess, or binge drinking. )
If you enjoy an occassional glass of wine (or beer, or cocktail — it’s all the same as far as alcohol goes), it’s fine to continue. Once you do get that positive pregnancy test, you can choose to stop drinking.
This morning while driving to work there was a Radio show that was talking about the benefit of drinking wine while trying to get conceive. They said it help you relax and stimulate the fertility hormones. They recommend driving a class of wine over expensive fertility kits.
Good Luck
I think wine does help. Your whole body relaxes and lets those little swimmers in to do there job.
