We had my daughter after less than one month off birth control. However, I’m off now to try again and we don’t know yet. It’s been almost 2 months. So…………I’ll let you know!

Nope it takes just about the same amount of time.My advice, stop trying. The stress of trying to get pregnant will just make it harder on both of you.Enjoy being together.Trust me you’ll both be much happier and it’ll be that much easier to make that baby you both are longing for.

Well, you don’t mention your age or how long ago you had your first child. The reality is that it sometimes takes longer to conceive the second or third child simply because you are older. Age is the number one factor which impacts fertility. Every year you get older, your eggs age right along with you. So if you are over 30 that could be one of the reasons. If you are younger, then it could be any number of things that could have changed since you conceived your first child, but in general other than the age factor, it shouldn’t be harder to conceive the second, but you shouldn’t assume it will be the same as it was last time. Try to do things to optimize your fertility such as eating right, control your weight, eliminate smoking, drinking and caffeine, try to do things that help you relax, as stress can definitely throw off your ovulation. And the number one most important thing is timing…make sure you know when you are ovulating, either through BBT charting or using ovulation test kits and then time intercourse several days before and up through the day of ovulation. Good luck!

I got pregnant on the first month trying with number one. Number 2 was a surprise. I got pregnant right after we quit breast feeding. Ds was just 2 months old. My boys are less than 11 months apart by a few days. I want to ttc in June and hope I get pregnant that fast. I wouldnt stress about it though.

not necessarily…my first was conceived during our 3rd month of trying…my second was conceived during the first month of trying. sometimes, your hormones change after your first child (like thyroid hormones) which can affect fertility. if you are concerned, you can get a pre-pregnancy checkup with your doctor and they can check all of your hormone levels. also, it’s a good idea to get an ovulation predictor kit just to make sure that you are in fact ovulating.

    best of luck.

    regards,
    mari
