thats not true at all……the law only talks about immediate emancipation due to military entry or marriage, nothing on pregnancy.

where is she to live? because she cant live with you while emancipated. she has to support herself AND her child with no outside help from you, another friend or any other family or government fundings.

does she work? she has to have a full time job

she also needs to continue to go to school

will she be able to pay all her fees/bills/insurance etc?

if she cant then she wont be emancipated

ps: PA law states "The age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16 years of age for statutory sexual assault and 18 years for corruption of minors."

so yeah you committed statutory sexual assault…. dont call names if you dont know the law

BTW I hope you don’t go to jail for statutory rape.

Here is extensive legal information on emancipation of minors in the state of Pennsylvania:
    http://www.nwls.org/emancipation_of_minors.htm

If your girlfriend is successful in becoming an emancipated minor, she relinquishes her right to support by her parents, who otherwise would be obliged by law to provide for her until she is 18.

Not easily. Pregnancy does not grant emancipation.
Emancipation is about self support. She would need a full time job that has enough income to pay for rent on her own apartment, utilities, food, clothing, medical insurance and all other daily expenses. She will also have to prove that she is able to support the child. She cannot rely on anyone else or the government for any of her support.
Emancipation also requires that the minor prove they are able to make mature decisions. Getting pregnant at the age of 16 with no means of supporting the child will prove just the opposite.
