Basically what i’m asking is why is it that another mammal (eg wolves/deer etc) that is pregnant is still able to hunt its own food & use all of its survival instincts. But when a human woman who is pregnant was to go running/jumping around there is a possibility of damaging the baby & in general woman get very tired from walking small distances when late in pregnancy.
Are other mammals wombs better adapt at surviving so they can toss & tumble around without damaging the baby or is it that humans take the utmost care & that in nature there is alot of birth to stillborns etc?

It wasn’t always this way. Native American women used to work up until their delivery dates, have the baby in the fields or forests and go right back to working. Same with women from many other cultures worldwide and they still do in some places.

Granted in present day, there are some women who have "problem pregnancies" and wind up getting put on reduced activity or even full bed rest, but for the most part I think it’s due to modern medicine and the modern comforts we have been afforded as society has "progressed" over the decades.

It isn’t because they can’t "go running and jumping around" as you put it, I think it’s because they don’t have to. Centuries ago, any person who was not contributing to their immediate society was a burden on that society so laying around while you were pregnant was not an option…if you did, you were an idle mouth for someone else to feed in a situation where food wasn’t always that easy to come by.

Today we have supermarkets on every corner, paid maternity leave and health insurance, etc..all things that allow an expectant mother to take it easy if she chooses.

You are using an analogy based on your own experience.

My wife is an Iban headhunter and we had 5 kids and I can assure you she could leap on someone with a parang right up to the day the baby dropped.

Plus, animals generally walk on 4 legs, distributing the weight and have no choice.

American medical science leads us to believe a pregant woman is a delicate thing and that ceasarians are almost required.

Where I come from we laugh at such things.

I agree with the first guy….people are groomed to whine and complain. If you decide to get pregnant, then stfu and deal with it in a responsible way.

    BULLSHI*!

Human females have brains enough to LIE & BE CODDLED!!!!

Animals are primitive and have to continue living in the wild. We have evolved past that.
You adapt to your environment and so, if human women were to live under harsh conditions, they will physically adapt over a long period of time by having a wider waist, or perhaps our wombs wouldn’t stick out as much.

Right now we live in a civilized and comfortable world so we let loose, and get physically weaker.
Meanwhile our brains, humans strongest survival weapon, do all that hard work.

It seems people have more environmental stresses, such as pollution, stress from work, poor health choices etc. It seems aniamals have animal instinct to survive dangers whereas people normally don’t face such dangers. Also animals usually pick their mates by how strong & healthy they are physically, to help assure offspring has better chance of survival w/good genes. As far as physical activity of humans, as long as they were physically active before getting pregnant, they should continue far into the pregnancy. Its not good to start a strenuous workout program after pregnant b/c can cause complications. There have been pregnant woman to run marathons, so it can be done! I think if person does what they can to be healthy before gettin pregnant it’ll def improve chances of a less-complicated pregnancy

well, when a wolf could talk and speak and work the internet, then i would be able to understand but in the meantime, do u really want some pregnant lady walking around bumping into things and chasing after goats before releasing that thing into the world of the internet? there are possibilities of brain damage u know, seriously, would u want that thing roaming the internet? think hard and deep cuz i think u know the answer.
