My female guppy is VERY pregnant. I just want to know what signs there are that tell me when she’ll give birth.

She has a large, spotted almost, gravid spot, and a huge swollen belly that looks like it will burst

Does she swim along the bottom when she gives birth or will she hide in plants? What will she do??

  1. Owlwoman says:

She will go to the weeds. Within a week or ten days.

  2. Kenshin says:

Usually, but not always they will whine or wimper and go to a secluded place and lay down either on there back or side.

  3. northern_monday says:

A guppy will give birth once every 28 days. I have no idea where in your aquarium she will give birth, as all of mine do it when I’m not watching. If you have good hiding places, bushy plants ot floating plants with roots, the babies will be fine. Some will get eaten by the parent and other fish.
