I just purchased 6 mollies from petland (2 male 4 female) and 2 of the females look sort of plump but notnot too plump, kind of like a large belly. Do you think that they are pregnant? What are sure signs of pregnancy? If they are how long do you think it would be before I should expect to see fry. Also if they are pregnant how do i know when to place them in the breeder.

Ok, so you know that ur molly is pregnant if it has a bulging underside, kinda like she swallowed a marble. now that she’s pregnant, you need another tank with about 5-10 gallons in it, if you know it’s TIME, you will put her in a breeding net. i’m sur they can be bought at petsmart or something. when the eggs are born, they will be put in a special spot, which is probably somewhere on the net. if you need further info check this page: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/16077MaleWhitesailfin.JPG&imgrefurl=http://news.pethobbyist.com/index.cgi/archive/fishtales/20030627000000/&h=595&w=699&sz=44&hl=en&start=4&um=1&tbnid=ZXo4Vxj_pXLhoM:&tbnh=118&tbnw=139&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpregnant%2Bfish%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rls%3DTSHA,TSHA:2005-45,TSHA:en%26sa%3DN

it is very simple to tell when mollies are pregnant near the gender fin of females it looks big and when they are ready to be put in a breeder the big part near there gender fin goes blackish. with black mollies you can’t tell whenn to stick them in a breeder just when they have been pregnant for 4-6 weeks.
