OMG I just found out today that my teacher is pregnant. I think she said she was 5 months in. I was in history and I noticed that she looked bigger then she told us and I was so happy that I was able to figure it out. How long does it usually take for a normal(meaning a single baby) pregnancy to show?

Every pregnancy is different. I think much of it has to do with the body type and height of the woman. I’m very small (5’2" and 110 pre-pregnancy) so I started showing very early with my son. I was in maternity clothes at 15 weeks. Also, I’ve been told that the more children you have the sooner you show. However, although I certainly could tell I was pregnant, I remember people not realizing I was pregnant when I was six months or so along; I think they just thought I had gained weight.
In general, however, I’ve heard that people can often start to tell around 20-24 weeks (=roughly 5 mos).
With a single baby and first pregnancy you usually don’t get a belly until about 18-20 weeks (which would be about where your teacher is). For some it’s later, for a few it’s earlier but never before 16 weeks. Anything earlier than that is just bloating and/or water retention and not baby. lol
It’s really obvious with clothing on around 4-6 months for most women!
