I have noticed over the last couple of days that 1 of my glowlight tetras is fat compared to the other 4 i have. They are not over fed. If it is pregnant what shall i do?
i did have 6 but lost 1 a couple of wweks ago, buying another 1 tomorrow. its behaving the same as the others. Ill keep an eye on her.

Tetras are egg layers, therefore they do not and cannot become impregnated. They are also schooling fish, and do best in groups of six or more. Having said that, as long as you have a school and you have enough space (20g+ for one school of six) and maintain immaculate water quality, they’ll probably be spawning right under your nose.
It’s tricky to breed tetras because they do eat their own eggs. If you’re really interested in breeding them, then you should set up another breeding tank for the soul purpose of raising their fry. Another option is to wait until the eggs have been fertilized, and then very carefully remove them (it’s easier if you have lots of decorations such as rocks, caves and plants for your fish to spawn on) and place the eggs in a breeding tank/net floating on top of the main tank for them to hatch.
Your tetra may be filling up with eggs, or it could be bloated or infected with some type of parasite. It’s hard to tell. Keep your eye on them!
