I had a miscarriage last month from the 16-22. My hormone levels dropped back down to 0 in about a week and a half after that. I still haven’t started my period yet and have no signs of it coming at all! Just some cramps here and there. How likely is it to get pregnant right after a miscarriage and when can I test? Thanks so much!
I can’t talk to my doctor cause my insurance just ran out on Friday. So if I am I’m gonna have to get on Medical.

it is very likely you can get pregnant after a miscarriage. my friend had a miscarriage in may 2009 and 2 weeks later, she was pregnant again. i would wait 4 weeks after your miscarriage to take a pregnancy test.
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage…
One of my friends actually did get pregnant almost straight away after miscarrying, and was pregnant for almost a year in total, how mad must that be?!
If you think that you may be pregnant again then you should get a test, a blood test from your doctor will be more accurate if you haven’t got any dates to go by, but you must remember that a period can take it’s time to show it’s head again after miscarriage, and that your cramps may be menstrual related.
All the best
Its very likely (I did) you are a lot more fertile in the first three months after because everything is ‘open and ready’ as my midwife said. They tell you to wait 6weeks because it can take that long for your body to get back to normal and if you have had a period its easier to tell how far along you are and stuff but it wont do the baby any harm if you catch sooner. Act I was so upset and broken that my doc knew I couldn’t wait and told me to start trying again right away while I was so fertile. Good luck and I hope you are and have a healthy pregnancy this time.

You can get pregnant right away, and for some people who have an early miscarriage (less than 12 weeks) it can potentially be a period of increased fertility, although in most cases it’s not recommended to conceive until you’ve at least had one normal period. You can test 14+ days after you’ve had unprotected sex – although if you’re continually having unprotected sex that’s hard to know when is the best time to test.
Have you cleared conceiving with your doctor? that’s the best first step, and ask him how long you should wait to try to conceive again.
I had a miscarriage on the 10th of July and found out that I had gotten pregnant again a week after my miscarriage. I actually didn’t find out I was pregnant again until I was 7 weeks because I thought all of the symptoms I was having was due to the miscarriage. But sometimes it takes a while for your period to go back on track. The only reason I tested was because my breasts were sore all the time and I wanted to test to make sure I wasn’t pregnant. But if I were you Id take a home pregnancy test and if it is negative and you still don’t get your period go into the Dr so that they can check your levels and see if they are still at 0. Good luck!
I miscarried in July this year at 13 weeks and had a D and C… and im now 8 weeks pregnant, i waited for at least one period which came 7 weeks after, and concieved that month. You know when your ready though, the period is just to strengthen everything back up, and for dating. also i tested the day after my period was due
