I am getting my mirena removed this coming Tuesday. We will track my cycle for 2-3 months and then start trying for a girl
How long did it take you to get pregnant after you had your mirena removed?

I had my mirena taken out in December I didnt ovulate untill february, and periods started then 15 days later. So this is our 5 month of trying, an no luck yet.
its been a year and still trying…
we weren’t trying for a baby, but 4 months after i had mine removed, i went to the gyno & found out i was expecting! & now i’m going on 17 weeks. : )
I had mine removed March 19th 2009 after having it in for a year. I just found out that I’m 4 weeks pregnant. So it only took me about 2 months.
I had mine taken out at the end of January and found out I was pregnant in April , I will be 12 weeks this Sunday
I had mine removed 10-20-2010 and found out I’m pregnant 11-16-2010. It can happen very fast! I thought it would take forever after the horror stories I’ve heard. I also had the IUD in for almost 4 years with NO periods at all.
I had my IUD put in Nov 17 2007, (about 7 months after my second child) and we want to start trying for a third!! We didn’t try for #1 or #2 they were both “oopsies”
and they are 11 months apart (my son was 2 months old when I got pregnant with my daughter) I got my IUD out on Nov 3 2010, so almost 3 years i had it in. I got my period 3 days after removal (very heavy, lots of clotting, but gradually got lighter over the course of 5 days) I never got any periods in the three years I had Mirena in. I DID however get MAJOR cramps once a month–again no period. My doctor said that this might mean that I was still ovulating, which is good since we are trying to get pregnant. I am guessing I ovulated on November 16-17 (my periods were VERY regular before my IUD) I am expecting my next period on Dec 4 (ish) Not too sure as this will be my “second” period after the removal. I have taken like 3 pregnancy tests so far (Yes, I seriously jumped the gun!!) all were negative…but I am going to take another one in a week (if I don’t get my period) FINGERS CROSSED! I am scared that I am going to have trouble after reading a number of threads all over the internet :S We’ll have to wait and see!
