I have irregular periods so i don’t know when I’m ovulating. So say i got pregnant "today"…when would i get a positive reading on a cheap pregnancy test? (i buy the tests from dollar general that work well)

Usually around 2 weeks. maybe a little sooner with the early pregnancy tests. To be on the safe side i would wait at least 2 weeks. Good luck
it dont work like that ur body has to build up the hormones for the pregnancy test to come out positive.
Home pregnancy kits can give you a fairly reliable result a week after your missed period. Use the first morning urine as your specimen because it contains the most pregnancy hormones.
2-3 weeks I’d say. Although, if you get a negative test, you can’t be sure it’s negative if you don’t know when you’re due. If you don’t have your period within 5 or 6 weeks of your last one, you should test. If it’s negative and you still don’t get your period, go to the Dr for a blood test.
