I suffer from infertility. I just heard some bad news. I just would like to know how long it took you to conceive your child with active trying.
Funny thing is I seem to get pregnant when I don’t want to. LOL!
I got pregnant with my daughter about a month after my fiance and I started dating, we didn’t want a baby for at least another year.
Then I decided I was ready for another baby and we tried for SIX MONTHS before I got pregnant and I miscarried in Feb.
Two months later my fiance wanted to try again but I told him I was ready yet, he said okay and we continued with using protection. I never got my next period, I am not almost 11 weeks pregnant.

with my first before i found out that i have PCOS. it took us almost 5 yrs to conceive and i only conceived after i got treatment. i wish you the best in conceiveing. good luck and lots of baby dust.
four months, but we lost the baby via miscarriage. Then the doc gave us the go ahead a few weeks later and we were successful our first try. We are now in our 28th wk of pregnancy with a baby girl. I have heard people taking a year or more to conceive so we were lucky it only took 4 months.
3 years… took depo shot once and it killed my system…. there is always hope. they told me that i had an extreem allergic reaction and my ovarys shut down….. now im 31 weeks preg!
for my first it happened the first try, i have been trying now for 22 months, i am on clomid, and have pcos. i just started another "two week wait" so wish me luck!

i feel sorry for those that have trouble conceiving…
my husband and i have a three year old…she was conceived the first month we tried…
as was the baby that i am carrying now…i came of the pill and was pregnant within a few weeks…

i hate to give you my answer; ive been very blessed! my first, i wasnt even trying; he was a surprise, since i was on the pill anyway; my second; we were pregnant before we started trying again, and my third same story. we werent going to try again until june, and found out in april i was already pregnant.

It took my husband and I over 9 months, and that was with 2 rounds of Clomid. I finally got pregnant after taking Femara, which is a breast cancer drug. It promotes ovulation in women who do not have a regular cycle.
My husband and I tried for 5 years.. both times
We tried keeping track of my periods and ovulation dates, daily temperatures, etc (we were 28). After 5 years and no pregnancy i just couldn’t handle the emotional let-down every month (we couldn’t afford an fertility doctor). So we stopped trying and started considering adoption. I was pregnant within 4 months and we have a beautiful and perfect 6 year old now! we tried getting pregnant again right away knowing it takes awhile for me to get pregnant but I didn’t conceive again until Oct 2005. That ended in a miscarriage but it gave me hope so we started the counting and temp taking again. But after 1 1/2 years of that, once again I just couldn’t handle the disappointment. So this May I gave away ALL our baby stuff. And yes this June first I found out I was pregnant.
I wasn’t trying but a month and a half after I lost my virginity I got pregnant.
I am actively trying. Been two years. Am thinking of adoption also but after reading these answers I have hope that maybe it will just take longer for us. My husband is 46 and I am 34 so we are also older. I will pray for you and the others actively trying. Good luck.
On average – 3 months. (I’ve been pregnant 4 times & had 2 miscarriages.)
My husband and I will have been trying for 9 months on July 19th 2007. See if you can get surgery on your uterus. That might be why you can’t get pregnant. Good luck. I’m still not pregnant but I’m hoping ALLAH(SWT) lets me get pregnant by Thanksgiving or Christmas.
i took my last bc pill april 30th and my husband and i didnt "try" in may… we maybe had sex once around the time of ovulation… then in june we had sex every two days before, during, and after ovulation… and low and behold i am 5 weeks pregnant… i hope everything falls into place… LOTS of baby dust to you!!!
