I was diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin Resistance on October 20th. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 8 months.
I am on medication now. I’m taking Metformin for Insulin Resistance along with a Thyroid medication to help my hormone levels.
My question is how long did it take you to conceive after you were diagnosed with PCOS? What medications were you on and what happened through your pregnancy with your condition?
Thank you so much!

It took us 12 months after starting metformin. Conceived naturally with metformin only. We did do one cycle of injectables/IUI (which worked but miscarried). The PCOS diagnosis was actually good news for us, as we had been trying 3 years without luck before that without knowing what was wrong. You are on the right path and hopefully metformin helps make your cycle/period less irregular. Give that a try alone before adding fertility meds to the mix.

    Good luck.

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16 which at the time was great since I didn’t want a baby at that point but now I’m 21 and my husband and I have been TTC for two and a half years. Metformin didn’t work for us so now we’re trying some natural herbs and see if they help. I’m taking vitex (supposed to help regulate hormones and ovulation), red rasberry leaf in capsule form since the tea is yucky lol (helps tone the uterus), royal jelly (supposed to improve egg quality), and prenatal vitamins. I’ve also been cutting down on my carb intake to help with my insulin issues and have lost 20 pounds. Here’s to 2 BFPs, one for you and one for me! :)
