First try with both pregnancies. Actually with Ava the condom broke but we were going to start trying the next month. But they do say it can take up to a year with normal couples. I wouldn’t worry until atleast a year has gone by. Good Luck!

When I got pregnant I wasn’t trying… I got pregnant from rape which was the first time I had sex. Then, a boyfriend got me pregnant the first time I slept with him.

Here’s a little tip: You’re more likely to get pregnant when you’re not trying very hard (having sex still is a must though).

It took me 2 1/2 years to conceive. We weren’t trying, but we weren’t doing anything to prevent it and we have a very active sex life. We usually did it every day or at least every other day, so I have no idea why it took so long. I was convinced we couldn’t get pregnant together.

It took me 5 months with out using anything…just try not to think about it. The month I decided to focus on something other than wanting a baby it happened…I am now 8 weeks pregnant!!

We tried real hard for 6 months, then I got so frustrated we gave up. Next thing we knew after about a month we were pregnant. We didnt use any fertility monitor.

First thing…congrats on getting the monitor! You will not regret it. I went off the pill Feb 2008..i had irregular cycles and got pregnant in June (3-4 months). Unfortunately I had a miscarriage so I bought the monitor at that point b/c I was sick of waiting. But, my cycles were messed up from the m/c and I was not having periods. I had to take provera to get a period. I used the monitor for the first time in Dec. I got pregnant the very first time. UNFORTUNATELY, i had another m/c very early on. I prevented pregnancy after that in Jan. But, in Feb., I used the monitor again. I am now 8 weeks pregnant! The first time I used the monitor, we BD’d every high and every peak day. The second time, we were hesitant to try again so soon after m/c so we prevented pregnancy on the first few high days BUT on the last high and first peak day we changed our minds and did not use a condom. Needless to say, it was only possible for me to get pregnant from BD on one of those two days so it definitely did its job! The monitor increases you odds. I am sure you will be very excited very soon! Best wishes!

It was becoming such a chore for my husband and I when we were ttc. We had been at it for about a year, when finally we gave up for a while. We let go of trying and just started focusing on making love and having fun. We ended up pregnant not long afterwards. I’ve heard many stories that when couples give up trying that’s when it happens. And since you have only been ttc for five months, you still have plenty of time. Don’t throw in the towel just yet.
