I took a pregnancy test about 3-4 days after my "missed period" (it was just slight spotting) and the two at home pregnancy tests I took both said negative. I’ve had a history of irregular periods before though, so is it a possibility that there was just not enough of the hormone in me to be detected yet? I heard its possible. What do ya’ll think?

The earliest time to test is 2 weeks after ovulation. If you are irregular and aren’t tracking ovulation, then you don’t know when to expect AF so it very well could be too early to test if you’re not sure when to expect AF.
If you’re irregular, I would test every 3 or 4 days or even every week, otherwise those HPT’s get awfully expensive.
Good luck!
