I have been on depo on and off for 2 years. I was due for my last shot Sept 6 and I decided not to go back and get it bc my husband and I are trying to conceive. I noticed some brown spotting today which I haven’t had in quite a while and I was wondering how long it takes to get pregnant after depo.
It can take up to 18 months…
I was "on and off depo" for 2 years as well and we have been trying to conceive with NO luck and it’s been about 13 months…. =(

like yourself i was on and off depo for 2yrs and decided to come off it to ttc. i was due my last jag in the june but never went for it. i started to get my period again in the august. but even if u get ur period bk this does not mean that u are ovulating.
we contained to ttc then in the january we started to get concerned so i went to the doctors.he started to do ovulation tests ever month, he also told me my weight could be causing problem(only a size 16)
emotionally i was a mess i started to do research on the net ect this was around april may time(i was still getting tests done) i read online about some herbal tablets that u can buy to help u ovulate again.
i started to take these tablets Straight away. i joined the gym and had been going there for about 6wks when i found out on 21st june that i was pregnant. yippee
i am now 16wks pregnant and strongly believe it was because of the herbal tablets i took. i am not sure wether u live in the uk or not. i got my tablets for holland and barrets they are called AGNUS CASTUS i would strongly suggest u get them. i will never go bk to depo after my experience

Depo can take years and years to get out of your system before your periods are back to normal.It is possible but very unlikely that you are pregnant 3 days after skipping a depo shot.
I only had one shot of depo which was august of last year and my fertility STILL has not returned to this day. I HATE DEPO. It was the worst thing I’ve ever done to my body and I am livid about the fact that my doctor never mentioned I could have loss of fertility anywhere from 3 months to 3 YEARS! I have been trying to stick to a diet where I consume mostly raw organic foods and lots of antioxidant rich foods like blueberries and concord grapes in a last desperate attempt to clear the drug from my system and my cycles are starting to regulate again, finally.
But who knows? Every women is different!
