my husband and i have been trying for 5 months. nothing yet, i dont think we will go to a doctor until we can afford it (so basically never…) i guess we will just let things go the way they are going.

It took us 2 years to get pregnant with our son. We started seeing the doctor around 1 year. My husband got his count tested. My doctor wanted to put me on fertility meds when it was about a year and a half… but I was very nervous about it (I didnt want to be a Jon&Kate.. or Octomom).. I had just given up hope of ever being able to have a baby with out the meds and I was going to get the prescription as soon as I got my period.. and low and behold I got my BFP with out any help completely natural!

I have been trying for about 3 years on and off, over a year continually. I finally went to a fertility specialist this past February. I just did my first round of Clomid this cycle because every other test and my husband’s test have come back normal. So now I’m in the 2 WW. Hopefully, this is the month!! If not, try and try again.

  9. *Mom of 2* says:

We started trying in July of 2008
    Got pregnant right away(first try)
Miscarried at 8 weeks :( That was in August.
Began trying again in September and still no luck for me!
    So…7 months, with no luck.

I already have 2 children, so I am pretty sure nothing is wrong. It took over a year to conceive them, so not too worried at this point!
    Just gotta keep trying :)

We were TTC for 2 years, 2 months before we got pregnant. After a year of trying we went to the doctor, but decided we didn’t want to do the Infertility treatments and just tried to stay patient and positive. This past Nov I tried Clearblue Easy Digital Ovulation Kit to detect if I was ovulating and it worked on the 3rd day I tried it. I used the one that gets a smiley face on it if you’re ovulating or a blank circle if not! I couldn’t believe it. 3 weeks later I got a positive pregnancy test!

  11. mother knowledge says:

Well, I’m sorry that I cannot answer the 3rd question because alas, I’m not pregnant yet :-(

My husband and I have been trying for one year, which I’m not freaking out about or anything because I totally understand that 12 months is the average length of time for couples who are trying to conceive.

We went to the Dr after 11 months. He has given a sperm sample and I have had a blood test taken and so far so good because everything has come back as normal. The only thing I am NOT happy about is that my Dr told my hubby that sex in the morning is the best because that’s when there will be more active little swimmers…I have tried for 4 years to convince my hubby that I’m just not a morning gal so I guess for necessity, my "get off me, it’s 6am" will have to go out of the window if I am to get pregnant. Darn!

I just have one more test to go through where they inject me with blue/purple dye and then do a scan to see if my fallopian tubes are blocked or scarred etc.

The next step if the results from the examination are ok, is to put me on Clomid to help me ovulate. And then…fingers crossed…
