How many Months did it take you to conceive your first baby?

Ok.. I just would like some input on how long it has taken ladies in the past to conceive.
If you don’t mind can you please also include your age.
P.S: What do you think about Robitussin?
Is it dangerous to take it after ovulation?

I was 26 when I got pregnant with my first child and it took us a little over 3 years of fertility treatments! We had to go to a specialist and had to do extensive tests and spent a lot of money on fertility drugs! But I tell you what! It was all worth it! I am 31 now and by the time I turned 30 I had 3 beautiful children (boy/girl/boy) who just turned 4, 2 and 1.
My doctor actually didn’t allow me to have anything other than tylenol for any of my illnesses so I don’t know much about robitussin. Every doctor has different theories on medication so who knows what’s okay or not.
I have to say this is a very interesting question and I never knew you could use robitussin to help get pregnant!
Good luck to you and remember to relax and don’t get too worked up about getting pregnant because it can make it harder for you to get pregnant. Have fun with it and try to get your mind off of HAVING to get pregnant and tell yourself it’ll happen when it happens!!!
We were together 4 years. We didn’t use protection for 2 of those years and we finally got pregnant. I got pregnant at 20 almost 21.
I’m thinking it was about 13 or 14 months. And yeah, you can take Robitussin as long as it’s the plain kind…both to increase cervical mucus before and during ovulation, and you can take it if pregnancy is indeed achieved. Just a bit of info…I finally got pregnant taking Geritol Tonic =].

I went off the pill and got pregnant within 6 weeks with both of my kids. I am now 51 but don’t know what that has to do with it LOL. I had my pregnancies when I was 25 and 33. Good luck!
I met my husband about 9 years ago and we had an oopps pregnancy after only a few times. Sadly we miscarried. We tried off and on over the years. Once we officially started trying it took 20 months and I was 28 when i had my baby girl. She is 8 months now. Its funny because when we weren’t trying we concieved easy. They say the effort of trying can make it take longer for you to concieve
im 26 it took 4 months i have pcos, so i didnt have regular cycles during that time.
I got pregnant with my first try, my husband and I were so shocked. We just started to try again last month. I’m hoping I get a positive this month.

My first wasn’t planned I was 17. But my 2nd took my husband and I 6 months. Now we are 29wks pregnant with another girl!
I was twenty……. and I went off of birth control for two months before hand…. (had been on it for 3 years prior.) We were using the pull out method. So I guess….. two months…. with the pull out method.
I was 19 and it was the first month after we stopped using protection.
We weren’t trying to conceive but weren’t using protection for a few months. I was 29 at the time.
If you are referring to Robitussin to increase secretions than you should use it before ovulation I would think – I could be wrong though.
EDIT: If you are needing Robitussin just for cold purposes then yes you can take the plain Robitussin (no combo of cough, cold, etc) when you are pregnant. I had the flu for almost two weeks when I was 37 weeks preg and my doctor had me on tylenol, regular tussin, and sudafed.

I don’t know about robitussin. I don’t think anything can hurt ovulation.

It took me 6 months with my first child after grossly studying my fertility every month…I was 24 with my first and I am 28 now. Cervical Mucous Checks were finally the end all fertility sign that led me to getting pregnant. And then after using this method with my last two… I was pregnant the same month of trying again. Robitussin is used as an "expectorant" meaning it COULD help to increase that "egg white cervical mucous" sign when you ovulate… the sign that I used to get pregnant immediately. However drinking plenty of water is more effective and healthier for you. If you choose to use robitussin it would be useless to use after ovulation… the best time to use is is right before the egg is released… when the "EWCM" is first building up.

I’m not sure on the Robitussin tho. I’m sure a couple of dosages wont hurt ya, but if you mean taking the whole bottle…its not a good idea.
EDIT—-But while you are preggers…NO DO NOT TAKE IT!
With my 1st I was 24 and off the pill 6 months before we conceived. With my 2nd I was 29 and off the pill 7 months.

It took us about 5 months and I was 19 when I got pregnant. You shouldn’t take any medicine that could make you drowsy and you should talk to your doctor becasue you arn’t allowed much medicine at all. I used decaf green tea when I was sick
