We are ttc, and so far though my period is not due yet I have already taken 2 pregnancy tests. I want so badly to have another child. According to my ovulation calculator it says to try next Monday, but I am so excited I want to try every other day until then just in case. Have you ever been like this. Or am I the only one?
When I mean try, I mean take another test. Im already a couple days past ovulation. I did have inercourse every couple days or so.
I have never taken a pregnancy test early due to the fact that if you get a chemical pregnancy (Where the egg is fertilized, but doesn’t stick) Then you can get a positive result, then negative later when you get your period, so getting your hopes up, and testing early can break your spirits, and be expensive.
As far as the OPK, having sex every other day really is best. You need to give time for the sperm to build back up, and since sperm can last inside of you for 72 hours, then you always have fresh ones in there, and waiting to meet the egg. If you wait too long to have sex, then the sperm quality can go down, resulting in no pregnancy, because the sperm was not healthy enough to be able to make it to the egg. It is also better to aim for the day before ovulation, otherwise you can miss your chance as well.

I wouldn’t take any.
If you’re too stressed/anxious about it you could actually decrease the changes of conceiving. I’m a knitter so I plan on working on baby blankets, sweaters, bibs, booties…etc until it’s the right time to test that way I can just keep my spirits and happy baby thoughts up.
It will be hard to wait and not think about it though.
