Around the same time you would question being pregnant….which is around the same time you would start your period, thats why it confuses alot of women. But, pregnant boobs are not the same as period boobs….for me anyway. Pregnant boobs ache ALL the time, whether you touch them or not. You can feel them on your chest, like hanging rocks. For me period boobs feel a little sore when i wash them in the shower, but not if i dont touch them. Pregnant boobs feel heavy and sore all the time, touch them or not.

Yes, actually, it feels just like they would when your about to get your period! With my first son, I felt the tenderness maybe 1 or 2 weeks after conception. I just thought I was going to get my period. 3 weeks later, the pain got more intense and my period never came. That is why I tested. I actually tested negative. One week later tested again and was positive. The tenderness got worse and worse over the next month. It got so bad that water hitting them from the shower was very painful…something I never experienced with the tenderness I normally got before my period. It went away after about 3 months.

NOW, with my second, I never had any breast tenderness at all! Not one bit. Weird, huh? So I would assume this is something that would vary from woman to woman, and from pregnancy to pregnancy.

EDIT: LOL!!! @mama!!! Like hanging rocks, I think you described it perfectly! That is how I felt with my first pregnancy after about a month after conception….oh, and again after I had the baby and they were full of milk! Then it was more like hanging bolders. :D
