I would like to know know how long does it normally takes to conceive after being on the pill for 7 years. i know everyone is different, but i would like to have a ballpark so i wont be anxious every month to take a pregnancy test and get dissapointed. Thanks
You can google the type of birth control you were taking and see if it says how long to wait, generally you don’t need to wait after coming off the pill. I think it says it is out of your system in 2 days. It doesn’t stay in a year and effect the fetus. People can fall pregnant while ON the pill and go on to have healthy babies! It took me 3 months after coming off the pill, unfortunately I miscarried at 4 weeks. I asked my Dr if it was because I was only off the pill for 3 months, he said absolutely NOT!! 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, typically called chemical pregnancies if they are under a certain amount of weeks. My best advise is to not think about it so much (trust me I know how hard that is!) And wait till your period is due to test (I tested 4 days early and got a positive result, then got my "period" when it was due so if I didn’t test early I wouldn’ve even have known) It’ll happen soon don’t worry, and start on your prenatals now to give your baby a good start!!

I got pregnant not long after I came off the pill….if you miss your period take a preg test…
To my advice to you first you need look at being on birth control for so long It not best try get pregnant at this time..until birth control out of your system..Birth control that stay in your system if you try get pregnant could affected the fetus..By my experience When my daugher didn’t know she was suppose to waited a yr have birth control out her system..she got pregnant later she had miscarriage. her doctor told her in her blood work she still had birth control in her system that affect the fetus. Told her have birth control out her system before try again..once you waited a yr after birth control out your system I think you could get pregnant in few month..
