How do you regulate your cycle to become pregnant easier?

I am worried when I try to get pregnant I may not be able to conceive right away because I have trouble regulating my periods (for this reason I have been on birth control since 15).

Is there medicine a doctor can give you which will regulate your period but not serve as birth control? Has anyone been given a drug like this, and what were your experiences?

Thanks!

Please visit this site and try this regimen. After not having a period for four months, I got it five days after starting vitex (an herb on this regimen). I can’t say how it is working yet, as I have only been following it for two weeks or so, but there are HUNDREDS of success stories on this site!

Also go to http://www.fertilityfriend.com to learn how to chart your basal body temperature and cervical mucus. It will teach you invaluable lessons in what your body is doing.

    Good luck!

You can try Vitex, thats known for regulating your cycles. You can buy it at drug stores or health stores.

Do a search on Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and see if any of the symptoms are familiar to you. You may have this issue if you have chronic issues with cycling. If so, ask you gyne for lab work and an ultrasound to decipher if this an issue for you. If your not cycling your not ovulating. You may have oligomenorrhea or annovulation which can effect your ability and chance of a naturally conceived pregnancy. You may be able to use some low level fertility options (such as clomid) or may need to be referred to see a reproductive endocrinologist.

How long have you been trying? My doctor gave me Prometruim to make sure that I had my period, but that doesn’t guarantee that you ovulate. Clomid will help most women ovulate and that is the drug that is given by most doctors. Have you been tested for PCOS? You might want to try that. Also, you may have to go to a fertility doctor if your periods do not become regular and you have been trying to conceive for over a year (depending on your age.) Good luck!
