How was your second pregnancy compared to your first?

"After one month of trying I became pregnant and had a beautiful healthy boy!"

"After over 7 years of trying to conceive and thousands of dollars spent on infertility treatments, I had actually succeeded to get pregnant the natural way without any drugs or medical intervention "

" I just wanted to say thank you for writing this program and for giving hope to women at my age. I am 46 and I am finally going to be a mother."

I had a pretty good pregnancy and even enjoyed being pregnant, I had no back pain, morning sickness and had loads of energy and felt better than ever. If I get pregnant again is it likely the second pregnancy will be as good or are they all different? Thanks.
Lol yeah my labour wasn’t good at all that made up for the smooth pregnancy.

Every pregnancy is different and THANK GOODNESS for me…
My first trimester in my first pregnancy was a NIGHTMARE… This time around I have most of the same symptoms but MUCH MILDER…
I can function on a day to day basis whereas when I was pregnant with my daughter it was all I could do to avoid heaving into the wastebasket at work ALL DAY LONG.
My fatigue is milder, and again thank goodness because I can’t afford to be exhausted with a hubby working evenings and a toddler to chase around the house after work.
I get headaches but nothing compared to the 37 hour migraines I contended with 2 years ago.
Most pregnancies are differant.
My first I was sick all day every day until 22 weeks.
This pregnancy I’m still sick at 27 weeks.
I am almost 12 weeks… I lost 4 pregnancies then went on to have a full term baby… All my previous pregnancies were difficult in terms of sickness, fatigue and aches and pains – but generally they were manageable… However so far this one has knocked me for 6 and it’s difficult having another child to care for too… I am always tired, there is only perhaps 1-2 of my waking hours is nausea free, I have pulling pains in my tummy muscles…
With my first, I had horrible morning sickness from weeks 6-16, was throwing up 2-4 times a day. Horrible cystic acne too. That was it.
With this one I had bad, not horrible, morning sickness from weeks 4-9, threw up once. I also have every symptom in the book, except the acne and morning sickness.
My first pregnancy was amazing, one day of sickness and only slight back ache. I felt amazing, my hair, skin etc was glowing
I loved every single minute of it… Second time round (although I still loved being pregnant) was horrid. She was a large baby so I had growth scans, very bad back ache, a week of sickness (nothing compared to most, I know!).I struggled to stay awake.
I think having a toddler to run around after made it more tiring, but it would of been harder even if I didn’t have my first as it was a bigger baby and I was overweight second time too
…. 2nd birth was by far so much better, and she’s a more laidback, chilled out child than my 1st but was a more demanding baby than my 1st… haha so basically everything has just been total opposites with them both.
How old is your first now? My first pregnancy was great as well. I had very few pains, no morning sickness (beside occasional nausea) and was also always filled with energy. Of course, I had no children at the time and my husband was deployed for most of my first pregnancy so I only had to worry about myself (and only pick up after myself) while I was pregnant the first time. This time around though, I had horrible morning sickness and every time my daughter got sick, I got sick. My back is always in pain, probably from trying to pick up a toddler while 30+ weeks pregnant. Plus there are the added responsibilities of "Mom" and "maid" this time around that I didn’t have before. Long story short, the pregnancies are different (this one is harder) but the situations are different as well, and I think that’s the part that mom’s tend to overlook when they are thinking of having another baby… I know I did!
My first pregnancy was amazing. No sickness!!! My only issue was labor pains and once i got the epidural she popped right on out pain free. Now my second…Baby let me tell you…it was bad. Joyed to be having a boy, but sad from the 7 months of sickness, Tide laundry detergent smelled awful to me, I kept itching, constant discomfort (he kicked my ribs all the time) and the labor pains where horrible. I was low on oxygen, the doc had to break my water (and he was not gentle about it) and finally after 22 hours of pain my beautiful bouncing baby boy popped out. I should’ve known from the difficult labor that I was going to have an adventurous little man !!!
My pregnancies were all pretty similar except for the cravings! I carried big babies too but I loved being pregnant. I mean there will always be little differences but hopefully you will stay the same.
My sister’s pregnancies were both completely different her first was horrible and her second was wonderful. So she claims (Most of our family suffered through both of them)
I don’t think you can really know until after you have experienced it. It’s different for everyone.
Best of Luck
Both were pretty bad. I guess the second one better because I didn’t have these allusions of a decent pregnancy. That I wasn’t endanger of dying in the second one like I was in the first was a big improvement though.
My sister had three pretty easy pregnancies for her first ones. Her four was not so great.
