Hi all,

I’m ttc. But I’m one of those women that get a brownish discharge about 5-7 days before my period actually starts. I’ve read a variety of opinions on whether that is normal or not and what might cause it and if it is or is not linked to infertility. But I’m interested in knowing if there are any women out there who also experience this as part of their regular cycle, have gotten pregnant and carried it to term successfully? I’d appreciate any help!

  1. LAZMUM says:

The best thing would to talk to your Dr.about this as brownish discharge can have a lot of causes some good some bad so only a Dr. or Gyne can diagnose accurately to be safe. The mucous changes to clear slippery & stretchy when you ovulate usually 10 to 14 days befor period & you can get pregnant if you have intercourse up to 2 days before as the sperm stays alive in your body for 2 & up to 5 days after intercourse.Hope it helps.good Luck.
