ask my boyfriend lol same situation and im 17 weeks pregnant……dont be like us unless you want a child, we’re happy now but it took a long time for us to accept the fact we’re going to be parents before either of us turn 21

Yes she can still get pregnant even with her being on the pill. I did with my first son and then I was on the depo shot when I got preg. with my second child. So nothing is safe anymore if you ask me.

    yuk er…..nothing is 100%

  4. MumofTwins says:

its 99 % effective without condoms

as long as she takes it religiously.

that means same time every morning, and not missing one.

  5. Shantel says:

Yes! Always use a condom. the pill is only like 95% sure. If she is ever on antibiotics and some foods can lower the accuracy of the pill. Also, remember that the pill only protects from pregnancy not against AIDS, HPV and other potentially fatal STD’s. ALWAYS USE A CON DEM!

  6. oops...another one on the way says:

Try a thin condom, they close to the real deal. The chance is always there that she could still get pregnant just relying on the pill.

  7. Conlon's Momma says:

That’s a really gross ending to a question, but…yes, she can. Most women do not take birth control properly–each pill at the SAME time every day, and that lowers its effectiveness. If she IS taking it correctly, then her chances of getting pregnant are supposedly .1%

  8. ShellBell_03 says:

Really? Hahahahaaaahaaaa . All forms of protection are not full proof. Ant time there is sex there is a chance at preganacy. The pill just lowers the chances. so really maybe a 3% chance she will concieve on the pill.

  9. Anon says:

The pill is rated 99.7% effective. That means that for 1000 couples who use it for a full year, and have regular sex, only 3 of that 000 couples will get pregnant.

This assumes she takes her pills properly, regularly, on time. Also, if she’s got nausea and barfs the pill up, it won’t be that effective. Some drugs (like antibiotics) can cause the pill not to work. etc. Some women it doesn’t work for reliably.

But, millions of couples and party girls use the pill and nothing else and it generally works for them. So unless you are super paranoid or you sleep around and don’t want medical souvenirs, a condom is not necessary with the pill.

You just have to keep in mind that no matter what you do other than abstinence, there is always that very tiny risk.

First of all, it’s “fool proof” anot “full proof”. Don’t freak it you accidentally bust a nut inside her every once in a while by accident. Just don’t make it a regular occurence.
