I should be the most fertile on the tenth and eleventh, but I feel cramps right now on the eighth. We want to conceive our third child and wish for it to be a boy. We are using the ovulation timing method.Any idea of what to do? Im confused from all the information out there.

You cannot do anything to determine the sex of your child. There are many old wives tales out there but they are not scientifically accurate. An egg carries the XX chromosome while the sperm cell carries XY thereby determining the gender of the baby. Many sperm cells enter your body and they each have a set gender and it’s really pure luck which sperm reaches the egg.

I have heard that if you want a girl, you need to have sex early and abstain for three days before you ovulate. For a boy, abstain early and have sex right before you ovulate.
