I just found out this week that i am around 6 weeks pregnant. This is my first and i don’t know what to expect. I just worry that the cramps that i have mostly at work aren’t good for the baby. I’m trying to be careful but are cramps a normal part of any pregnancy?

i had cramps in the beginning. it felt like menstral cramps, and i remember thinking that i was going to start bleeding at any second. i was really worried until i talked to other pregnant women that had the same cramping. it is normal. but if they start be become really painful and you start to bleed, call your doc immediately. but im sure your just going through all of the normal symptoms we all do. dont stress about it, im sure you will be fine
Yes they are. They feel like PMS cramps, or period cramps. You shouldnt be bleeding though.
I have heard that the best resource to have when you are expecting is to buy the book "What to expect when you’re expecing" It will give you the answers to the "what is going on with my body?" questions! As long as your cramping is not severe cramping, it is normal. If you experience any severe cramping or bleeding, head to your nearest ER. Good luck with your nine months!
cramps are perfectly normal at the begining of pregnancy. It always feels like ur about to start your period but dont. As long as they dont get too bad and your not bleeding you’ll be fine. Good luck!
Completely normal thats your uterus adjusting and stretching to the baby
Pregnancy cramping in early pregnancy is common, and often nothing to worry about. However, due to the risk of miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, if you have cramping combined with spotting or bleeding, you should contact your care provider.
The big reason for cramping in early pregnancy is due to uterine expansion and perhaps ligament pain, also referred to as round ligament pain. The round ligament is one of several ligaments that support your uterus and keep it in place as it expands in your body. Most of the time, ligament pain occurs in the second trimester as your uterus grows, though there have been some reports of it in early pregnancy. For more information, see the links provided.
The uterus may also cramp in early pregnancy because it is a muscle that can stretch and move, and it must expand during pregnancy to make room for the baby. The cramping in early pregnancy should be similar to light/medium menstrual cramps. If you are experiencing strong cramping, you should contact your care provider.
In addition, some women experience light cramping as their fertilized egg implants into the uterus–a process called implantation. Often women do not realize they are pregnant when this occurs. Another reason for cramping may be an ovarian cyst.
