There is a small possibility but it is highly unlikely. Your ovary has to release an egg in order for it to be fertilized by sperm. Vaginal juices will kill sperm which is why you have more cervical mucus around the time of ovulation. It makes your body safe for sperm so it can travel up to your egg. I will say, however, that although sperm CAN live for up to 3-7 days, it usually dies within 2 hours and it is a hard trek to the egg. But you can technically get pregnant if you are not ovulating if the sperm lives long enough and attaches to the egg once it is released.

Nope. If there’s no egg there, there’s nothing for the sperm to meet.

EDIT: Sperm can live inside you for about 48 hours. But, if you’re not ovulating within that 48 hours, you’re not getting pregnant. Seems pretty obvious to me. Bring on the thumbs down…

  3. Tell Me More says:

yes, there is a huge window b/c sperm can stay alive like 8 days inside of you n reach the goal.

EDIT: "If conditions are right, and sperm can get inside the cervix (away from the acidic vagina), they can survive for up to a week, and have been found to survive for 10 days, although this is rare." ~fertility specialist
