  1. Askal says:

I’m sure that you’ll get answers from Christians rationalizing why it is NOT a sin, none of which will make any sense whatsoever.

You see, most of Christianity’s doctrines and dogmas – particularly those obsessively concerned with human sexual behavior – are truly absurd, not to mention divisive and divided.

Edit: "It’s not biblical." "It’s not in the Bible." But, my dear Christian, this is exactly the argument you’re making against same-sex marriage – that it goes against your god’s purpose that we should be united heterosexually and procreate. Where is THAT in your Bible?

Why does Christianity make up things as it goes along, and then establish a couple of thousand different factions because each claims exclusivity to "scriptural truth?" This religion is truly weird.

..is it sinful to MAKE LOVE??? if there’s so many sins..why don’t you just be a Scare-crow..so that u wont do anything sinful..oh wait..maybe its sinful to to just stand there???

  3. Since You Asked says:

apparently, isn’t that the anti gay marriage argument, I mean if the shoe fits, then it fits us all here; you can’t pick and choose who and when Biblical words will apply, well you can; but that is called "cherry picking"

  4. Shapeshifter309 says:

Well, depends how you interpret jewish law. "The Lord said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply.’" isn’t a real law I think, but I would think a very small majority would frown on you for not obeying it.

But hey, what do I care? I’m an atheist.

  5. Maurog II says:

Under the premise that sex is purely for procreation, it is wrong, but not sinful.

For it to be a sin, you need a premise that god(s) said sex is for procreation only.

  6. James says:

There is no SCRIPTURAL BASIS for this!

  7. ┼ SÄ ┼ says:

    Dear friend WiseBeyo,
    Yes.

But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. (Holy Bible 1 Corinthians 7:9)

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: (Holy Bible 1 Thessalonians 4:3)

  8. Lion Sack says:

O then, my beloved brethren, repent ye, and enter in at the strait gate, and continue in the way which is narrow, until ye shall obtain eternal life. O be wise; what can I say more?
Finally, I bid you farewell, until I shall meet you before the pleasing bar of God, which bar striketh the wicked with awful dread and fear. Amen.

  9. Boyoboy0 says:

From Genesis, God created humans as male & female chiefly for partnership & community in life

    & Jesus echoed that

Likewise, the act of union is chiefly to deepen the bond between man & wife

Martie posted good verses that show the importance of not depriving each other of that

& the Bible speaks of Christ loving the church, (Greek word ‘ecclesia’ = not a building, but the ‘called out’ people, who love & worship Him), in the same way that He wants a husband to love his wife & give his life to her

A friend, from decades ago, had had 8 miscarriages: she sure needed the love & comfort of her dear husband & I praise God that he was so loving with her

  10. Horsing says:

It is sinful if you don’t satisfy your wife sexually. I think it is ok, after all you are not doing it from the A$s.

  11. Martie P says:

    Are married people allowed to

    have sex?

1 Cor 7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
1 Cor 7: 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come to¬gether again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
Deu 20: 7 And what man is there that hath be¬trothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.

  12. Matthew says:

All sexual acitivity outside of holy matrimony is sin. Exodus 20:14.

  14. A says:

According to Islam, its a big sin, such sin its punishment forever Hellfire

    translation from Qur’an ch 25:

68 And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse – and whoever does this shall receive the punishment.
    69 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace;
70 Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
71 And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds; then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.
72 And those who do not bear witness to falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity.
73 And those who, when they are reminded of the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat.
74 And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders of the Muttaqun(the pious. See V.2:2)."
75 Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect.
76 Abiding therein – excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to rest in.
77 Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever (inseparable, permanent punishment)."

  15. M says:

Sex between married people is not purely for procreation. It’s nowhere in the Bible.

  16. MissDementia says:

Blessed Odin’s Eyepatch, I hope not! As far as I’m concerned that’s the ONLY type of woman some people should be knockin’ boots with. There are people out there that really shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce. They just muck up our gene pool.

  17. Andromache says:

As long as she consents, I see nothing wrong with it.

  18. no1home2day says:

If you’re not married to her, it’s always sinful, whether she can conceive or not!

And where did you get that silly notion that sex is strictly for procreation? A great book (if you really ARE married) that I would highly recommend is "Intended For Pleasure", but if you’re just asking a hypothetical question that has no bearing on your real life, just know and understand that this kind of thing makes you a hypcrite, if all you’re doing is trying to make a false case against some one or religious group! Tearing down straw men is ALWAYS hypocritical – at the very least!

  19. CHARLES says:

It is not a sin if they are both married

  20. Gus says:

Under your premise, yes it is. I mean, you said as much…right?

Seems silly to have to ask the question, really.

Then again, I don’t think many people subscribe to a belief system that would vilify barren women in such a manner.

  21. Father Ramsbottom says:

If anything, you should be sending god a thank you card! You’re one blessed man!

  22. God's hi†man says:

"purely for procreation" – this is certainly not from the Bible, which religion are you referring to?
