In Australia about 2 years ago there was a young lady (20yrs old) she wanted to be pregnant that badly but of course had not found the right guy yet so she ran a ad in the newspaper asking for sperm from different man. She paid for it at like $50 a pop and if his sperm got her pregnant she gave them $150. She had a son from it. In the article about her she said she just wanted to have a huge family (8 kids) and could not wait till she met the right guy so she started without him.

I believe there is heaps of ladies doing it

Some women are single and don’t need a man for anything but his sperm.
Some women can’t get pregnant with their husbands so the both of the find a suitable sperm donor.
    BUT
there are also lesbian couples who want the child but don’t want the man =)

yes they can and do, and they have every right to. Just like you have a right to ask this question they have a right to have kids.

Put yourself in someones shoes that cannot have kids because there husband cannot get them pregnant. If they both want kids that badly then why shouldn’t they find a suitable donner.

Doesn’t make them any different to the rest of the world that wants kids also.

    Cheers….

    it is true.
but doing it medically can be crazy expensive, and sometimes all the woman, or the couple, cares about is the end result… having a baby.
everyone has a right to their own decisions, even if some may seem wrong.

  5. ♥Love♥ says:

Yes I imagine some women are that desperate. I however, refuse to bring a baby into the world after taking the risk of getting aids!

  6. Sarah says:

Thats what a sperm bank is. The only difference is you get to touch the person that gives you his sperm.

    Sounds ok to me.
Its none of my business (or yours) what other grown up women (and their husbands) do to get pregnant.
Some women are single and don’t need a man for anything but his sperm.
Some women can’t get pregnant with their husbands so the both of the find a suitable sperm donor.
It costs thousands and thousands of dollars (sometimes 50 or 60 thousand) to let science get you pregnant.
It is much cheaper to do it the natural way.
We women don’t need men like we used to. Why should a woman have to be married to have a baby?
We can get our own jobs now, pay our own mortgage, plan our own retirement.
Now we have the ‘luxury’ of being with a man just because we love him, not because we need him to survive.

I’m not shocked very often by what people do. People are more selfish than ever these days, so wanting a child is justification enough for getting pregnant, despite circumstances. I know someone who had one night stands until she got pregnant. Shameless.

It is true! This does happen and has happened to me!
I have been asked twice to help someone get pregnant. The first time it was a definate NO due to me being in a relationship.
The second time i was not so this is what happened.
I was asked by an old school friend last year to help her get pregnant.
Story is she lost her husband when she emigrated due to him being in an industrial accident. Yet was desperate do get pregnant to have a 2nd child.
I considered it for some time and decided that since there was no financial issues as we both thankfully have successful business’s that i would do it as it was within my power to help her.
Yes it was the old fashioned way and yes she got pregnant and now has a beautiful baby girl!
I am thrilled now she has been born. I was very dubious at the outset but seeing the joy she has brought to my friends life has made it all worth while.
It was such a positive outcome i would very seriously consider doing it again because i have now been shown that children are a blessing and as such why should any women be denied that?
Yes i would definitely consider doing it again!
    Regards,
    Johno
