Well… she should stop, if she hasn’t already, drinking alcohol/soda and stop smoking. She should be taking an over the counter prenatal vitamins. Two months is not that long to be trying, if she has just gotton of BCP it could take up to 6 months for her body to regulate itself. She should also be checking her basal body temperature, there is a very small window that the body is fertile. She could just not being having intercourse at the right time each month. If she doesn’t conceive within 6 months of trying I would suggest asking a doctor for help.

I’m also trying to conceive and the first thing I did was go to my doctor to get checked out. He went over my medical history and advised me to take folic acid as this help boost your fertility and help avoid birth defects. I’ve also changed my lifestyle as I used to be a smoker and drink alcohol every now and then. She should go to her doctor so they can help her on preparing herself/body for a baby; avoid sodas as much as possible because those are empty calories, cut out frozen meals since they only contain tons of salt and fat; Have sex every other day to give your partner time to recharge his sperm count; As I said, if she smokes, she should stop as smoking decreases fertility; She should exercise to allow her body to be in excellent condition to conceive and carry the baby; Improve the quantity and quality of your cervical mucus which is an important part of the conception process since it is used to help the sperm get to the egg: drink plenty of water, cut out the caffeine, drink grapefruit juice and eat red raspberries which helps with the quality of your cervical mucus. Btw, I advise she use OPK (ovulation predictor kit) since it will tell you 24-48hrs before you ovulate so you don’t miss out on the window of oppurtunity to conceive. Lots of sticky baby dust!
