I know this may seem like a short time for some of you, but to me it feels like forever. (of course it doesnt help that all of our friends are getting pregnant easily) My hormone levels are good & his sperm count is great. What is the average time it takes for a couple to conceive? Is this normal? Is there anything else I can do? Help! Thank you

I am going through the same thing. Been six months and it feels like ages. I think it is normal. Try having sex every other day after your period ends. This way there’s no question of when you ovulated! Also take your BBT every morning so that you can make sure that you are ovulating.
Go to Walgreens or one of those places and get one of those ovulation deals looks just like a prego test.
Perfectly normal…try charting your cycle…use an online chart http://www.baby2see.com. It will help you find exactly when you ovulate, and have sex every other day around that time.
You just have to be patient. Try not to think about getting pregnant. Just live and be happy sooner or later you will get those news that u are waiting for. I believe that its normal what ur are going through it just take time for some couples to conceive. Ur OBGYN can offer the help you need Good Luck
I understand how you feel about all your friends getting pregnant and you not, I tried for 2 years and then had my son 12 weeks early!!! Every person varies on the time it takes to get pregnant. Go to babyzone.com and register. They have an ovulation calender on there. You tell them when you last started your period and stuff like that and they figure your personal best ovulation days. When I finally did this, I think I was pregnant within like 3 or 4 months. (I also took clomid though so mine was a little more of an extreme case then yours) Try it and see if it works!!!
They say average time is 6 months and if it takes longer see a fertility specialist. They couldnt find anything wrong with us and it took me 4 years!
the waiting game is hard, but i see it every day. I work at a fertility clinic and i see women crying and hurt and upset because, once again, the test is negative. The WORST thing you can possibly do is to keep stressing about it. Stress causes parts of your brain to shut down, preventing hormones from producing which cause you to produce viable eggs, ovulate, and conceive. It feels like everyone else is having children around you, and all you want is that joy of being a mother. If you really want it, go for it and do more then testing for fertility. try getting treatment, or at least a recommendation for a specific plan to monitor your cycles to help you conceive on your own. I’m sorry if this isn’t that helpful (some couples wait 2 weeks and conceive, some wait 5 years) but it is soooooo different for every couple.
They say it takes a couple about 6-12 months to conceive. It depends on the individuals. If all your tests came out great, I would just try to be patient. It’s hard though when everyone else is getting pregnant. Check when you ovulate with an OPK or ovaluation calendar. Otherwise, if you can’t wait anymore, you can seek a fertility specialist for help.
