My date of separation is June 18th, and that will be the end of my health benefits. I am originally from Michigan but when i get out i’ll be moving to Texas, to join my husband. Currently he is interviewing with San Antonio PD and others around the area. I know in Michigan I could qualify for medicaid and WIC but I’m not sure what texas has. My baby is due October 14th. Would I qualify for public health? what kind of public insurance would be available?

I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you

Medicaid and WIC are national programs. If you’re eligible for them in Michigan, you are probably eligible in Texas. Once your husband gets a job you may lose those, but gain his employer’s insurance (which is usually almost as good as military insurance but with co-pays).
