My wife and I have been trying to conceive for the last 8 months. So far no luck. I am getting worried as to what the problem could be. We have decided to wait for a couple of months before going to a doctor. I am scared of going to the doctor. I hope my sperm count is normal and am hoping that my wife does not have any issues also. The color of my sperm is white and clear. Is there a way to conceive even if the sperm results are below normal?

Hello Rob,
When you’re in a stable relationship making the decision with your wife to start trying for a baby must be exciting for both of you. Unfortunately some people are unlucky and may have problems making a baby. One of the most common causes for this is for the man to have a low sperm count.
Sperm count, or sperm concentration to avoid mixup, measures the concentration of sperm in a man’s ejaculate, distinguished from total sperm count, which is the sperm count multiplied with volume. Anything over 20 million sperm per milliliter is considered normal.Anything less is considered oligospermia. A vasectomy is considered successful if the sample is azoospermic, or if only rare non-motile sperm are observed (fewer than 100,000 per millilitre).
The average person is nutritionally deficient in six of the eight vitamins and minerals essential for a healthy body. Less than one in ten receive the recommended daily allowance for zinc – an essential nutrient for sperm production. Zinc is vital for viable sperm count, motility and a high percentage of live sperm in the semen. Foods rich in zinc such as lambs, turkeys, barleys, wheat, oysters, beans, nuts, red meats, raw sunflower and pumpkin seeds are considered to be the super-foods that can help to increase the sperm count in men.
There are other foods you have to consider in order to increase your sperm count. More details are on the sources below.

Although it can be very scary, even if there is a problem there are many things you can do to fix it. It all depends on what the problem is.
Good luck and baby dust!!!
Yes, I’ve seen women on here announcing they were pregnant after their doctor has told them the husband has poor sperm. 85% of couples will conceive within 12 months. Just keep trying
good luck!
p.s try taking multivitamins with zinc in them. Zinc is very important for sperm production.
