I have been on birth control pills for 5 years. I decided to stop taking them last month and let what is to be, be. How soon can I get pregnant and what methods should I use?
It took us 8 months with our daughter with no birth control. After I had her, I went on the pill for 4 1/2 years. I just stopped in June and got pregnant the same month. The pill will not affect your fertility. The doctors say to wait 3 months.
Well, I switched from regular Ortho to Ortho Lo and got pregnant. I can guarantee your pills should not impact your chances of conceiving in any way. Actually, my doctor told me that you are VERY fertile right after coming off the pill. Use any method thats enjoyable, it may be somewhat difficult to tell when your exact ovulation date is b/c sometimes the pill can alter your cycles. But within 3 months it should even out and you can go from there. Good luck!
I was on the pill for 5 years and went off and got pregnant that month. Then I was on the pill for 3 years and went off and got pregnant in about 2 or 3 months. My sister was on the pill for 5 years and it took her about 6 months. Don’t worry about it too much. Just have fun trying the old fashioned way and if you haven’t gotten pregnant in a year see your doctor.
Let what is to be, be? You’re an adult not a teenager. You know what happens when you use no birth control, so that line sounded kinda immature.
Hopefully you’re being totally honest with your boyfriend or partner with the fact that you’re actively trying to conceive. We have enough children in the world with absent parents.
I was on BC 7 years the first time, took me 1-1/2 years to get pregnant… talked to my doctor at about 9 months and they said just keep trying… sometimes you just have rotten timing… less than 6 months later I was pregnant… the 2nd time I was on the BC for 2 years and go pregnant 3 months later…
