You should be safe but here’s a tip, go on birth control or use a condom. Morning after pill won’t protect you from STDs…
It’s 95% effective against pregnancy if you take it within 24 hours after unprotected sex.
It basically works keeping the sperm from fertilizing the egg if conception has not happened yet. If it has already, another thing it does is make the lining of the uterus thinner so a fertilized egg can’t implant on it.
After that 24h mark it decreases slowly all the way down to 89% on the third day.
