What are the chances of getting pregnant if your breast feeding and on the pill?
I missed two days this month, and one day last month, and sad to say but I was late 3 times last month also. I breastfeed all day and night, no period yet. I haven’t had one yet since giving birth 8 months ago. Bleed for 5 weeks after but that’s all. Is there still a chance at conceiving? I don’t want another baby yet.

nursing may give you no period but it doesnt prevent ovulation, i didnt have a period the whole time i nursed 18months, but tracked my ovulation with detection strips around 10months for curiousity and was ovulating. so yes because you still ovulate you can concieve, doctors usually warn you breastfeeding isnt birth control because most women do ovulate. the pill is 99% effective when used properly- never late, never missed. So yes you have a chance of being pregnant. I got pregnant on the pill- using it properly- with my son. not having your period makes taking a test harder so id just wait until the days you had sex unprotected have passed by 3wks or so and go get a blood test, it’d be more accurate, and if you mess up on your pill use a condom too!

For breastfeeding to be effective as birth control, you have to feed the child exclusively (no formula or real food), every 4 hours, then kid has to be under 6 months and you can’t have your regular period. At least that is what all the websites says. So for you breastfeeding is passed the point of birth control sorry! As for the pill, The package says you can miss up to 2 pills in a given month without worrying. Take a pregnancy test and considering getting the plan B pill. Also, set an alarm so you don’t miss anymore pills!

Honey, I’d take a test ASAP. I was breastfeeding AND on the pill and I got pregnant 4 weeks after giving birth to my son. If you haven’t had a period yet, I’d definitely test. Breastfeeding and pill doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant, it’s just supposed to be harder to. Good luck
