I have all ways done the depo shot but I never liked it so I have been trying the ortho pill for the past month. But There have been several days where I would not take it on time or miss a day. But I just got off the depo shot in January and it usually takes awhile to get pregnant after the shot. I think I’m pretty safe right now but I would like to get others opinion.

no you are not safe. there is always a chance and you just made it better. Don’t miss dosages. if you cant keep track you will get pregnant. I am a nurse and you are playing with fire and or deluding yourself.
Be careful it doesnt take awhile to get pregnant when you get off the shot my sil got pg 2 weeks after and my other sil got pg 1 month after sooooo if you dont want a baby get on something.
Like any other bc its about 95-98% effective.
I’m a nurse and worked in womens health. The chances are less than 1% if you take the pill the same time every day and never miss a pill. The chances go up if you miss a pill or are late. And the more you miss or if you are very irregular about taking it, your protection against pregnancy goes up more. It’s good that you are not taking the depo anymore. That is too hard on the body.
