What are the odds of getting one positive pregnancy test & 2 negatives?

I took a First Response Pregnancy Test earlier and got a very faint positive line. I have taken 2 more since then, both negative.
Do you think it was a false positive, or could it be too low of hcg levels to detect, since I am testing early, and have been drinking water to make myself pee.
False positives normally do not happen. If you have been drinking a lot of fluid to pee, then you have probably diluted your urine, and that’s why the next 2 test came back negative.
Wait until the morning and use your first urine right after you wake up. It should be the strongest.

if it was positve the first time then you are preggers
if you checked the test within 10 min than its positive…no matter how faint it is…but you may want to re-test in a couple of days to give your mind more reassurance.
i might have been a negative to? umm, maybe you should go to a doctor or take another one in a couple of days.
The only way to tell for sure is to get a blood test at the doctors office
It could be just because you are testing early. try and wait at least four hours before you pee for the test. Or test with first morning urine. It will let the HcG build up. the other possibility is that it was a chemical pg. But that is only possible if you tested several days a part.
Positive is positive! You dilute your urine by drinking more and using the bathroom more often. You need to use your urine first thing in the morning, as your HCG levels are more concentrated! Either way if your 1st test was + you are likely preggo! Congrats!
Umm that is hard to tell. I had a false positive, the line was very faint. But nope not pregnant. Wait a few days and retest IN THE MORNING.
You’re pregnant. The extra water is interfering with the tests. If you must use more than one test to feel confident, it is better to get a urine sample in a cup and use that on all of them so that they are not diluted. A false positive is next to impossible if you follow the test directions. False negatives happen every day, especially in early testing.
