First of all, I am childfree and single alone. Many women expecting their children are excited about their pregnancies. And a couple is happy in starting family. But what are your dislikes about pregnancy?

To me, my greatest dislike about pregnancy is that there are mood swings in which hormones greatly fluctuate and moods change from happiness to total depression to emotional anguish without a good reason.

Another great dislike is morning sickness.

I’m on my third pregnancy so I am lucky that the moods and hormones seem to have skipped me a lot this time. I love being pregnant, although I am glad this is my last time. I hate not being able to jump and run with my kids, not being able to lie down comfortably and feeling like Santa when I wear red!

The mood swings and sickness lessen as the pregnancy goes on.

  2. me! says:

the morning sickness was unbearable. thank god it’s pretty much gone. the worst I think is the constant worry that the baby is OK and happy in there…and still alive. I have had a lot of pain with my pregnancy so I worry (and I know everyone else does too) everyday.
I love feeling the movements, even when they hurt.

  3. Bella says:

I loved almost every minute of being pregnant. I was one of the lucky ones that never got sick and my mood swings were not that bad at all. But the only complaint I had was waking up with cramps in my legs. It only happened a few times, but they were definitely painful!

Oooo, wait a minute. I guess people coming up and rubbing my belly was a pain too. Other then that though, things were great.

  4. Baby #1 Due Early December! says:

Back pain! Everything else I can tolerate. I love having a baby in my belly.

  5. Erica says:

I HATE the getting big part! Nothing fits and if you don’t have much money to spend, it’s pretty expensive to get clothes that do fit. I mean really, $18.00 for a piece of freakin’ spandex to hold your pants up! Ridiculous! Other than that, I’m pretty cool with the rest of it. Not much morning sickness and I am certainly not constipated, as I’ve heard many experience, but it’s gone pretty well up this point. (18 weeks!)

  6. lil'bit says:

LOL so far wondering if I am pregnant!! lmbo… i think the mood swings are hilarious! i would have to say getting left out to do things…

  7. sweetie says:

Sorry but I love everything about my pregnancy. I have even had morning sickness all day everyday with this pregnancy and still loved it. That’s gone now but I still enjoy all the stuff people normally hate. I guess its cause this is my 3rd pregnancy in 9 months. So when you have lost three babies and two pregnancies you take each day as a blessing.

  8. FF'n Momma says:

I’d have to agree – morning sickness was my biggest dislike…and with my second my nipples felt like they were on fire!!!!

You need to find a support group for single pregnant women…it would probably help. Either online or in person.

Good luck sweetheart…big undertaking but you can do it. That’s probably to blame for your wide range of emotions. It’s ok to be scared but I promise you CAN do it. Do you have family/friends around??

When the baby is here all the sickness, and every other dislike washes away – I promise.

  9. Pinkadot says:

    Nausea and vomitting for sure.

Nothing else, I don’t think, compares to how awful it is to throw up every day, 10+ times a day, for 10 weeks…and then randomly the rest of the pregnancy. I actually had bruises on my knees from kneeling at the toilet so much! I even knelt on a soft rug.

    Everything else seems minor.

The BEST is to feel the baby move. That makes it all worth it!

  10. Mason Tyler is due in 2 weeks!! says:

Okay well you can’t say you dislike anything about pregnancy if you’ve never been pregnant… you may not even experience what you just described.. I didn’t have any ridiculous mood swings or "emotional anguish".. I personally kept pretty even keel the whole time.

I hate sharing my body with another human being and I especially hate it now that I’m huge and ready to pop and my baby likes to cuddle right under my ribs.

YEAH I know she’s not pregnant NOW but her question says "my greatest dislike about pregnancy "…. how can you say that statement if you’ve never been pregnant?! DUH

  11. momma 2 B 9-15-09 says:

i don’t like getting stretch marks, lol…and feeling like a huge hippo..and it sucks when u start knocking things off tables with ur big belly..or bumping into people with ur big belly which is hard not to do since pregnancy throws ur balance off.

  12. traceee says:

I hate how my back always hurts.

  13. Li Love says:

How do you have dislikes if you have never been pregnant? You dont even know what its like. I am confused by your question.

  14. stephanieisred87 says:

Morning sickness SUCKED, but it didn’t last forever. I hated towards the end of my pregnancy, being so big, I couldn’t sleep comfortably. Having to pee all the time is really annoying. Mood swings sucked, but they definitely weren’t the worst part for me.

    Childbirth also sucked LOL

  15. AB says:

LOL yes those are two good dislikes…for me it was those, and the constant peeing, all the tests you have to do, and when the 3rd trimester comes along…you cant breath that well, and heartburn, oh and when your due date is coming up…just the not knowing when it is going to happen.
my husband thankfully was on leave, our son was born only after 3 days of him being home…now with my daughter he had R&R leave and he was home from the 12th to the 24th and she came the 19th

  16. pregnant wiv baby boy says:

i am 24 weeks pregnant 25 weeks tommorrw the thing i dislike about beeing pregnant is my back all ways aches very hard to sleep at night

  17. creativity1 says:

I disliked how I was hungry all the time. I would eat dinner at 7:00 PM and by 11:00 PM I was hungry again. I gained a lot of weight which I still have about 20 pounds of it still on.

Anyway, I feel it is all worth it in the end. I have two children that I love very much.

  18. Leah~Ariana is due Oct. 09~ says:

I just hate never being able to get comfortable at night, therefore missing out on restful sleep pretty regularly. I haven’t had mood swings and my morning sickness was very mild. I don’t have any stretch marks yet, but if I end up with a ton after delivering my daughter, then THAT will be my least favorite thing about pregnancy.

  19. amy f says:

everyone trying to guess what you are having. it’s a baby people and no, i didnt want to know what the sex was…I LIKE natures surprise!

  20. Tanea t says:

the dismorphic figure that renders me unattractive to all but the odd or fetishized..
the fact that I’m no longer in control of my own person- there’s this alien-like creature who’s taken over and lays claim for 9- NINE- months…
the fact that foods and smells i love turn my stomach now..
    Labor.

    Not a fan

  21. Dat.Mama.2.Be says:

Morning Sickness is on the top of my list. Along with dizzy spells, hot flashes, and the crazy cravings.

The only good thing is when my baby kicks me really lol.

  22. andy4316 says:

my only dislike is the pressure on my bladder and the many sicknesses you can get from being pregnant. like right now im being tested for preeclampsia and i think i have it, my blood pressure stays high and i never had high blood pressure before. now my baby will have to be born 3 weeks early, but me and my husband are ready.
    36 week prego

  23. mocha22 says:

Morning Sickness, lower back pains, leg aches and the sore breasts i have during this pregnancy are causing anguish like no other,..i mean waking me up in the middle of the night if i lay a certain way kinda soreness…So yeah..this pregnancy ( im 8 weeks btw) has sucked so far.

My first pregnancy was heaven compared to this. I cant wait until the second trimester when all this agony subsides.

  24. d. says:

Summer in Florida with no A/C in my last trimester.
If I could have changed one thing, that would probably have been it.
I don’t know how women in places with worse heat stand it.
I was positively miserable with it.
Also, got hit with listeria from trying to eat ice cream to stay cool. That was certainly no fun either.

Next time, I was well out of there, much further north,
and delivered in January. Maternity sweaters are the bomb!
(or, just big, long baggy sweaters.) I had a closet full of em,
    (thanks to a very wonderful
    maternity-to-toddler thrift/consignment shop
that was there in our town.)

  25. Marie Baby #1 Due Feb 18 says:

I was lucky and avoided morning sickness all together. I’m 16 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I’ve started getting round ligmant pain and lower back pain. I never realized it would be this painful!

  26. dee&nessababy#1duenov22009 says:

I dislike the waiting ! 40 weeks is aloooong time. And I’d have to agree with the other girls who say how would u know what u dislike if u never experienced it .

  27. Baby #2 due March 20 2010 says:

I hate being so exhausted!!! I feel so worthless all I want to do is sleep! It’s frustrating :)
