I have some breakouts under and around my chin that I can’t seem to get rid of. I have been using proactive for about 2 years with really good results, but during my pregnancy proactive has not been effective and I don’t want to waste my money.

Well, you should stay away from Salicylic acid which is in a lot of face wash for break outs. There have been some studies that it can pass through the placenta. I use a gentle fragrance free soap free face wash that has really helped.
The same thing is happening for me. I’ve been using proactiv for almost 3 years now, and it had been working pretty decently on keeping my face for the most part-clear.
Once I hit my second trimester, it just wasn’t doing anything for me anymore. I don’t know how your skin type is but, what’s been working for me is the Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with Organic Tea Tree Oil and Awapuhi. Like I said, I don’t know how it will work for you, but it’s been working for me.
Good luck. (:
