My son was born in October, which was a nice month because I didn’t have to be pregnant around the holidays, could wear lighter Summer clothing while pregnant. We are planning to get pregnant with our second and I don’t like the idea of having a baby in November and December because there is so much going on. It’s too darn hot in August to be 9 months pregnant and uncomfortable. When did you have your baby and would you have picked the same month or rather had a different one?

I have had three children born in three different seasons: Spring (April), Summer (August), and Fall (November). By far my best pregnancy was the Spring pregnancy because by the time I was big and pregnant, the weather was very nice outside and I was comfortable. My worse pregnancy was the Summer one…it was absolutely miserable. I live in Miami and it is unbearably hot during the summer without being pregnant. I was hot and could not wait to deliver.

IMO, it is best to delivery between March and June before it gets too hot.

My first and second were born in August and July and it was a miserable summer! I am due now in October, and must say i am really looking forward to it! I would say anytime you don’t have to be pregnant in the summer,it would be so much better

I loved being pregnant over the summer! Everyone tells me I am crazy but do you know how wonderful it is to be able to enjoy fresh fruit and out door markets and swimming at the beach and BBQ’s and all the best summer stuff while your pregnant. You can monitor your weight by going on walks which I never do in the winter burr!! And then you have a beautiful baby while its still warm and you can do summer stuff and then you can get into fall and halloween and christmas with a beautiful baby..

I love being preggers in the summer!!! Try it lol

my sister in law got pregnant in august and is expecting end of april.. she hasnt had to be huge during any hot months and she wasn’t too huge over christmas.. and the baby will be born just in time for summer to go outside on walks.. i, on the other hand, am due in july.. so i’ll have some hot miserable summer time.

I had my daughter in June. It was a good time to actually have her. I got all the way through spring with the nice weather… not too hot and not too cold. However… If you go on a lot of outings with your newborn, its a little difficult because of the heat. Mid July in California was hell with a newborn who needed to go to the doctor. Had to let the car cool for 30+ minutes, make sure she wasn’t over or underdressed, etc… But the same could apply if you had your baby in say… january…

I am due in August with my first, and I think that being preggo over the summer is a good thing. I’m like a hermit crab in the winter and I hate the snow and cold weather so I don’t get to exercise properly.

being pregnant in the summer sucks!!! You are already hot as it is and going outside when it is 95 degrees, really sucks, i did that with 2 kids!!!!

Mine will be born in June 5th and I think it’s perfect. I won’t have to go through a hot summer pregnant. Aside from having to be extra careful in the winter late spring and early summer is a great time to have a baby. By Christmas they’ll be more alert and hitting some milestones, and when they turn a year it’s summer again and the fun can really start! (fun in the summer sun!)

I will be having my baby in 2 1/2 weeks (March). I quite enjoy being pregnant during the winter because the baby kept me warm at night so my husband didn’t sweat to death with all the extra covers I usually use.

Plus spring is nice for the baby, new beginnings, clean fresh air, ability to open windows, not to hot during the day or night while there really young. Plus you’ll feel better because days are longer and sunnier (helps with mood) And I found that getting ready for the baby has helped me get the house ready for spring by doing all my major cleaning (floors, massive dusting, windows, organising and decluttering, purging old stuff, etc). a little early so that I have all the spring cleaning done to give me more time with our little bundle of joy.

    Good luck!

I’m due in August too and I’ve heard the horror stories of being pregnant in the summer but what can i do??? but just go thru it…I look at it this way, (I live in Southern California, so it will be scorching) but I can always take walks, go to the beach to cool off or just try to be cool as possible in my home with the cooling system. I HATE being cold so I pray it won’t be as bad in the summer….Plus i plan on taking swimming classes for exercise and to cool off in June and July.
